Larissa speaks out and tells her side of the story in a letter printed in the OB Rag. It reads like some kind of out of control nightmare. I hope if there are any of you out there with legal of navigating CPS experience, you will offer your services to this poor woman. Perhaps she might have over-reacted at the scene when everything was going down, but nothing gives the cops on the scene the right to destroy her life like they have tried to do. Shameless disrespect on a fellow OB sister! — November 11, 2011 7:44 p.m.
Local Pro-Life Group Protests Maltreatment of Fin-Whale Fetus
I would like to protest the insulting way this so-called "reporter" made fun of a death that occurred of a beloved sea creature found along the cliffs of Point Loma. One does not need to be a PETA zealot to know that the little mammal should be honored and treated with respect. What kind of craven people does that Jim Holman hire down there to write these ghastly stories. I invite all Reader employees who are not loathsome animal haters to come to a special drum circle in Ocean Beach where sage will be burned and a special interpretive dance rendered in a spiritual manner to honor all God's creatures. It is requested that the Reader hit up some of it's medical marijuana dispensary advertisers for some free samples to bring down to the drum circle, where the "medication" can be smoked to commune with the spirit of the baby and ask for it's forgiveness on behalf of the Reader! Amen.— December 13, 2011 1:06 p.m.
Bonnie Dumanis and the Wisdom of Ladder-Climbing
There are people in any organization that are good at ass-kissing and sucking-up. Bonnie Dumanis is one of those. I bet since the days of her being in the typing pool downtown, she made it her business to cozy up to whoever was in charge and ingratiate herself. This ability of hers is even more impressive since Bonnie is NOT attractive in the least, possesses that horrible Boston accent, lacks any degree of charm, and is clumsy to the extreme. However, all these impediments did not stop her so-called "climb up the ladder" and here she is now speaking about it at a conference. Bonnie Dumanis needs to be put out to pasture for good. Her utter unsuitability to be Mayor would RUIN San Diego, if she ever managed to extent her cancerous tentacles into the Mayor's office. Don't get me started on what she has tried to do to medical marijuana patients.— December 8, 2011 5:26 p.m.
University City Bikini Lady Reunited with Her Missing Dog
I take that last comment to mean that perhaps the bikini lady may well really be just auditioning for a role in an adult film? Maybe, but she should try and finish her studies at UCSD first! Even though there are no good jobs out there, her talent at self-promotion could land her a XXX starring role in the next "Have You Seen My Chippy?" Or "Commuter's Cutie."— December 4, 2011 9:23 a.m.
University City Bikini Lady Reunited with Her Missing Dog
I don't think it was the nurse that stole the dog. I think it was the high school kid who probably confessed the crime to the nurse at school and the thieving student asked the nurse to turn the dog in for her. I have to hand it to that bikini lady-what she did took a lot of nerve, chutzpah, and got her the results she wanted-her dog back!— December 3, 2011 12:17 p.m.
University City Bikini Lady Reunited with Her Missing Dog
I suppose for those ladies who may not have the best figure to flaunt along the roadside, this might work: Hold a sign alongside the busy street that promises: "WILL NOT WEAR MY BIKINI, IF MY DOG IS RETURNED!"— December 2, 2011 6:12 p.m.
San Diego's 33rd Mayor -- 11/30/11 at Point Loma Library
Judges (and District Attorneys) make for bad Mayors. Please keep that fact in mind when voting in 2012.— November 28, 2011 6:13 p.m.
San Diego Pastor Calls Tim Tebow "God's Quarterback"
Pastor League LaRoach would like to invite all Reader employees to come to a special salvation sanctuary service. Despite the fact that a Godly man, Jim Holman rides you Reader writers hard, more needs to be done in a spiritual manner to save your souls. Pastor LaRoach and his female disciples, the Godly Groupies, will endlessly toil to appease the Lord in regard to the Reader heathens and blasphemers that make fun of pious football players and chastity-belt (and wristband) wearing Church attendees. It will take a long time and much ecumenical work to cleanse the Reader employees of the depths of their depravities, but if fervent prayers and much supplication is offered on their behalf by righteous, upright people of the Lord, perhaps a few from the pit of vipers might be saved.— November 28, 2011 6:10 p.m.
Former Medical Marijuana Dispensary Manager Files Appeal
I attended one of Jovan Jackson's second trial hearings in front of Judge Shore late last year. That Judge is a pathetic joke. Every legal argument the defense had, Shore shot down. I am sure this injudiciously bad behavior was on orders of Dirty D.A. Dumanis, who lost once before in court, when Jovan Jackson was originally found not guilty at his first trial. Dumbanus was not about to let that happen again and used the Judge she had in her pocket this time. It may not cheer Jovan Jackson, but he is a righteous martyr to the medical marijuana cause and I hope when he regains his freedom (hopefully on appeal,) he sues the beejeebies out of the D.A.'s office for malicious prosecution and maybe even double jeopardy.— November 23, 2011 4:58 p.m.
Ocean Beach Woman Seeks to Reclaim Child From CPS
The funny thing is: there are so many more BAD MOMS out there who deserve to have their kids taken away and not Larissa Danielli. It was just a perfect storm of bad luck that got her when that apartment building of hers caught fire. The Ocean Beach community is rallying to help her but Larissa's Facebook page just mentioned that CPS told Larissa she needs an official "job" in order to get custody of her son back. The DJ gigs she does don't count, I guess. If anyone out there has a job opening, please contact Larissa at: http://www.facebook.com/djcurvajus?ref=ts Thank you.— November 21, 2011 8:39 p.m.
