Smokers Targeted in Anti-Litter Campaign

I have to come to the defense of Rocket. I am sick of all the dog feces around too. I don't mind doing beach clean-ups and picking up trash and ciggie butts on the ocean but I get so incensed when idiot dog walkers come by my front yard (all day long) and let their dogs do their business & then just walk away. Now I just get my camera and take their pictures. (they are on public property-the sidewalk.) If I can find out their addresses, I will report them to Animal Control. A couple of times, I have gotten into it with these crap cretins, but everyone has an inalienable right to live SHIT FREE! Stand up for your RIGHT to walk UNIMPEDED on your own front lawn FREE OF DOGGIE POOP!

Hocus, Better Than You

HOCUS does deserve a SDMA! They are everywhere & always play with a vibrant intensity that defies logic. In fact, the band itself defies logic and San Diego should support HOCUS just because Lando Martinez was in the military for 20 years serving our country. Now he is just a dirty punk rocker from IB, but I still like him. Oh, BTW, Hocus, quit stealing Privatized Air songs and singing them all the time! Hope you can slip a CD to Foo Fighters when they come to town in October so you can finally go on tour with them. Find a groupie that can "slip" backstage & sweet talk Davey Grohl into taking a listen. I will volunteer for that duty!

Coronado Police Have Your [License Plate] Number

I am sure that the Dept. of Homeland Security is handing this money out like candy to Navy towns so the cops can beef up their security and keep the bad terrorists away since there are those big nuclear aircraft carriers hanging around at nearby North Island. Also, all the rich snobs in Coronado who are mad about all the riff-raff that comes over the Bridge now that it's free can feel better that the po-po is running plates and cleaning up the town! Everyone's a winner in Coronado!

Point Loma Residents Warn Navy Against Waking the "Sleeping Giant"

They are digging up a section of Rosecrans Street right near La Playa and the Sub Base. I saw pipeline exposed and digging going on all around it yesterday. This did not look like any kind of sewer pipe to me. There was even someone's garage where the contractors had broken the concrete and were digging around in the dirt. The Navy would be wise to heed the advise of the Point Lomans. Those people have money and they don't fool around if they feel their high property values are at stake!

Detour in Seaside, Oregon

I used to call people up in Oregon when I had a job trying to get people to come to a Timeshare presentation for a free 2-night stay. When they heard the different places they could stay and I got to Seaside, OR., it was a done deal. Even up in Oregon, the natives know how cool Seaside is.

Marijuana Ordinance Goes Up In Smoke

These politicians were just venting because they were forced to back pedal on this issue. I was impressed by the questions of David Alvarez and dismayed how bored Carl DeMaio appeared as the 2 hour parade of witnesses spoke up. The Council would be crazy to effect a 2-year ban on dispensaries-that would be political suicide for sure.
