Without Warning
It really puts it all in perspective. No matter how bad we think we have it, we could be there in the middle of tragedy.— March 20, 2011 3:58 p.m.
Making an Old Man's Day
Good for you!!!! I say pride be damned on all sides. We have to take back our communities and humanity one good deed at a time. Hopefully someone else who was tempted to help but didn't, will learn from your great example.— January 4, 2011 6:33 p.m.
THOUGHTS OF MY DAD ON VETERANS DAY
Admin help me-don't know what in the heck is going on.— November 10, 2010 11:18 p.m.
EGGSTORDINARY STORY
I wanted to give us all a little levity. Afterall, tomorrow is the 9th anniversary of 911, and there has been a lot of depressing news lately, not only in our county, but in our country. So many friends, neighbors and coworkers have fallen because of the current economic situation. So forgive my work of fiction, hopefully I gave you a gigggle or two. Please feel free to address comments. I never tire of your opinions, which I value greatly. Cheers to you all— September 10, 2010 8:42 p.m.
Cars a Blessing or a Curse?
Amen to that. I totally miss my car when she's down. Just like having a spouse or close relationship, you know all the little quirks that are uniquely theirs. If you read my Automotive Karma, you'll know I was without her for awhile. boo hiss. thanks for the comments— August 24, 2010 7:53 p.m.
Pesky Piercings and Other family Issues
Thanks for all your input guys. My daughter read them all, and fortunately she's well rounded enough to see and accept all sides. The sad thing is a few of her friends have not heeded Emily's warnings about job searches. They have continued to have facial piercings and tatoos to excess. I still don't understand the rush. these kids have barely turned 18 or have just turned 19. They really don't understand how the impulsive behavior now, can cost them later. There truly are those days when there's not enough coffee and alcohol in the world. LOL— August 18, 2010 4:43 p.m.
A Pit Bull's Point of View
I totally agree that the parents should have been charged with child abuse and neglect. It was irresponsible of them to leave a baby within easy reach of any animal. I know of a baby that was pecked in the face by a homeowners bird that was trying to get the cracker the child was eating. People just need to heighten their awareness.— April 11, 2010 8:49 p.m.
