Shark Tank
What a terrible experience. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Your story totally reminded me of middle school and high school politics I witnessed as an adolescent. When one person in a group decides that someone is uncool, the rest follows suit. It's not enough that you start out "cool." It's a delicate game you have to play to stay on the cool side and not wander off into freak territory. From one dragon to another (yes, I remember reading your dragon post when it came out), I can imagine that it's another whammy when your astrological sign tells you one thing about yourself but people or life tell you another. Stranger still is when these people friend request you on FB. Anyway, I hear you're coming to my opinion writing class at SDSU next Tuesday. Looking forward to it.— October 18, 2012 12:03 p.m.

I love the last line: "stop and eat the donut holes."— August 1, 2012 12:07 p.m.
Pearl Hart, AKA 'The Lady Bandit's,' legacy lives on in newspapers.
It is fascinating! It's cool to find rea-life characters like the infamous Lady Bandit.— August 1, 2012 12:06 p.m.
What is happiness?
I remember this poem from my high school English class! I guess it did have something to do with me. Just didn't know it yet, hehe.— July 10, 2012 7:49 a.m.

It makes sense that a lot of comedians have genius qualities. They have to be so sharp. The type of people that really get to me, though, are the ones who blend humor with heartbreak.— July 10, 2012 7:46 a.m.
Embrace the Suck
It's sad to see Garrett Michaels go. I grew up listening to FM 94/9. I was a freshman in high school when it was brad new. Before that, it was 92/1, which became a country station. I have to agree that I wasn't a big fan of the talk radio when it came about in 2010. Since then, I haven't really listened as often as I used to, since the morning was my prime listening time. I also didn't know that desert island discs and blues break is gone!? I loved Friday morning blues break when they would drink local beers and play some blues, even if it was brief. It'll be interesting to see the direction that FM 94/9 heads. I'll admit that too much RHCP, Green Day and Nirvana were getting to me.— July 9, 2012 4:32 p.m.

thanks, richzombie. As usual, I look forward to your next poem.— July 9, 2012 3:36 p.m.
What is happiness?
that reminds me of some Sheryl Crow lyrics: "it's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.... I'm gonna soak up the sun." dodododo. That is very true, Tom— July 9, 2012 3:36 p.m.
What is happiness?
Thanks for the advice Roody2shoes. I was corrected earlier. Happiness is not a path. It's there. Now only if I could find it.— July 9, 2012 2:17 p.m.
What is happiness?
That's a wonderful quote. I'll have to remember that, Justice130. Hemingway is one of my favorite writers.— July 9, 2012 2:15 p.m.
