The Eagles -- 03/03/23 at Pechanga Arena San Diego
When are these guys just going to go away. I mean enough already.— November 12, 2022 10:25 a.m.
$100K for UCSD corruption cop
Gonna disagree with you on this one. 100K is nothing in San Diego. There have been countless people making more than that who took bribes. Ever here of Duke Cunningham???— December 21, 2021 2:15 p.m.
Where the Faulconer governor money is coming from
dude, get off your lazy ass and look it up. Should take you all of 30 seconds.— May 7, 2021 7:59 p.m.
Union-Tribune's new voice from the north is Soon-Shiong's daughter
"And having a dad that's a doctor -- let's just say his family wasn't poor". Yeah, not so much as one would think or at least the way you make it sound. Perhaps this might help: :His parents owned a general store, surrounded by a lead-acid battery factory, a tire manufacturer and a meatpacking plant. His father also served as village doctor and neighborhood herbalist, routinely receiving metal cans full of plant snips shipped from his homeland." I mean the guy has related several times about delivering newspapers to earn money for college. So maybe not poor, but certainly not wealthy.— April 6, 2021 11:51 p.m.
San Diego's ghost kitchens
personally, all I care about is the food. And don't forget, take out containers have to be dry and clean with no food waste in them. No greasy pizza boxes, no dregs of curry sauce, enchilada sauce etc.— April 6, 2021 9:01 p.m.
Union-Tribune's new voice from the north is Soon-Shiong's daughter
Uh, no. He did not bring his wealth with him. I believe he was in his early 20's when came to LA to go to UCLA. Yeah, he made millions over about 20 years, but got his Billions from selling 2 different drug companies that he started for about $10 billion. That was about 10 or 12 years ago. So no, he didn't bring it with him; he made it here. Ah, the American dream!!! LOL— April 6, 2021 8:53 p.m.
USS Bonhomme Richard to be repurposed as dive-in museum of recent Naval history
It's Mencken; could it be anything else??— December 18, 2020 3 p.m.
Denny’s adds new Slam to breakfast menu in honor of Padres historic performance
OK, my bad. But is that really a valid comparison, comparing the Bay area and it's 5 major league teams against San Diego and it's lone team, the Padres? BTW, though they have identical records at this point, the Padres did best the A's in the season series. And at 6 games back from the Padres at this point, and losing the season series,do we even need to talk about the Giants? The Padres are indeed having a great year. Too bad the play in the same league as the Dodgers. Just my opinion. Opinions vary.— September 25, 2020 5:55 p.m.
Denny’s adds new Slam to breakfast menu in honor of Padres historic performance
I guess that is true, if you exclude the Dodgers, Padres, Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Ducks. NFL just started, so it is early, but I will concede that one, mainly due to the Chargers.— September 14, 2020 11:10 a.m.
San Diego pandemic protests bring out everyone with an opinion
Ya know, there is a saying that I have been hearing, in various iterations, for probably decades: If you have your health, you have everything. I think right now it would be better said as When you don't have your health, nothing else matters at all. Just my opinion. Opinions vary.— May 10, 2020 8:16 p.m.
