Zen-like
I read with interest your article "Zen-like" about Stephan Vonkolkow, who was the only San Diego coffee professional at the event. However, did you know that the winner of the U.S. Brewer's Cup is a San Diego native? Sarah Anderson, our daughter, was born and raised in Spring Valley. After graduating from college, she stayed in the Los Angeles area and began working for Intelligentsia Coffee. She competed at the 2014 Brewer's Cup, but did not make it to the finals. With that experience under her belt, she competed the following year in the 2015 USBrC. At the finals in Long Beach, she was up against 32 other brewers, including the 2014 U.S. Brewer's Cup Champion, Todd Goldsworthy. In winning the title, she will be traveling to Gothenburg, Sweden in June to compete in the World Brewer's Cup. If you would be interested in more information about Sarah, I can give you her contact information. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2015/m…— March 22, 2015 7:35 p.m.
