Chula Vista school hurries to get ready for Arne Duncan
When I read this blog and I missed the comments that were removed--it made me think there is a very unhealthy environment in this school--and this district.— October 2, 2013 12:12 p.m.
SOS — Save Our Sealife — in Chula Vista
Being located right across the street from EyeCandy can't be good for this place either. This place is the city's only draw, hope they can survive.— October 2, 2013 12:09 p.m.
Southwestern College Foundation's Nathan Fletcher connection
maria, South County has too many retread politicians, retread superintendents, wannabe politicians, politicians who are using their positions to get another position, superintendents who come in with their little cabal of cronies and so on... We are being disenfranchised by the lack of good people to vote for.— September 24, 2013 8:47 a.m.
Sweetwater underwriters reel in the big one — a grand jury indictment
So this is history, or almost--at least we have to hope come February. So my question is--can I feel the bond I voted for , prop alphabet soup abcdefeg--prop o, is being administered correctly? MY other question is--if we don't support bonds how will schools be taken care of?— August 30, 2013 8:43 p.m.
Nobody hurt at Southwestern College
Nowadays a campus needs to protect itself. This author does not tell us the level of training the on campus police have, that would have been helpful.— August 30, 2013 8:25 p.m.
National City a long way from Scripps Ranch
Brand's desire for a legacy is almost pathetic. I wonder how much time or thought or resources are being put into rebuilding the adult school program. That center in National City could be a vital community asset and a great stepping stone for National City residents. Do some advertising, reduce the cost, imagine some new offerings, build it back up.— August 22, 2013 6:46 a.m.
National City Planning Commission prodded to decide on making space for Alliant Int'l University
This article doesn't tell the meeting time.— August 16, 2013 5:05 p.m.
National City Planning Commission prodded to decide on making space for Alliant Int'l University
So it looks like national city morrison is sidekicking for superintendent Brand. I ask again--what is in this for these south county cities that are welcoming so many of these diploma mills? I think the one down on Bay Blvd in Chula Vista might even get some special zoning priveleges. What does Morrison get? Certainly not employment.— August 16, 2013 5:05 p.m.
Alliant University leaves Sweetwater school district property in National City…sets up at Southwestern College?
which brings me to my point. Why would National City want Alliant in the adult school? What does a city gain by bringing in a private university?— August 11, 2013 5:52 p.m.
Alliant University leaves Sweetwater school district property in National City…sets up at Southwestern College?
