Wild West at Oceanside Airport
Which came first, the airport or the houses? I actually don't know, which is why I bring it up.— January 31, 2019 6:31 a.m.
San Diego sole-source overrun soars by $7 million
It would be interesting to talk to the former project manager. I have a feeling that he or she could see that the plane was going down and it was time to bail (retire).— November 28, 2018 6:51 a.m.
Watchtower done looking the other way?
Were the documents regarding sexual abuse ever turned over? Were fines assessed and paid? Is that a dead issue now that the lawsuits have been settled?— March 3, 2018 6:09 a.m.
Curse of the Georgia Street Bridge
The URL for the Vintage San Diego Facebook page doesn't work: http:// https://www.facebook.com/VintageSD/ It should be: https://www.facebook.com/VintageSD/— November 7, 2017 8 a.m.
U-T execs show for O.B. council meeting
After I read this article the morning, I emailed Robert York and explained that despite requesting to not receive circulars about a month ago, they were still coming. I had a very pleasant reply from him within a few hours promising to take care of things. Late this afternoon when I was standing in my front yard, the driver came by with the circulars, stopped, and asked if I was the person who requested the circulars be stopped. When I told him that was me, he apologized and said that I would not receive them again. He was so nice I almost felt bad about making the request. Anyway, I'm extremely impressed by the quick action by Mr. York. I hope this signals a new, more positive Union-Tribune.— May 29, 2015 6:26 p.m.
San Diego pit bull owners and their detractors
Unreliable is right! I tell mine that she has to take out the trash, and she says "sure, sure, I'll get right to it." But she never does. Now the labs we had when I was growing up, you told them to mow the lawn on Fridays, and they'd do it just like clockwork. It must save time knowing that every dog of this breed that you ever see is a killer. I think that cops in Ferguson understand that kind of thinking.— April 24, 2015 6:25 p.m.
