**STOP Doesn't Mean Slightly Tap Other Pedal** One of the intersections in Cardiff by the Sea where area residents are getting a little wary of folks not stopping at STOP signs, or speeding down residential streets trying to by-pass congested Santa Fe and Birmingham commuters getting on the freeway. The Sheriff's Dept. is aware of the problem intersections, specifically this one at the corner of Nolbey and LeGaye. A radar moto officer was also seen recently at the bottom of the hill on Nolbey St. BTW - A STOP sign violation or speeding in a residential area will cost one around $400 in fines, court fees, and traffic school. http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/mar/2…

I see these young moms out almost every morning on Via Cantebria behind Target. Sometimes there are 15 or more jogging with their little ones. Today I was waiting for a UPS truck to turn in front of me. When he didn't move and he clearly had the right-of-way, I saw he was staring at the moms. Being a cautious driver, I simply had to follow his line of sight and realize I still had to wait for him to make his move first. So I waited . . . and waited . . . .but I wasn't staring . . . really. But most of us have to admit, these moms are beautiful in a healthy way. Can anyone tell me why, on the I-8 @ the Octotillo exit, there si still a Texaco? All Texaco station were closed in San Diego area, bought out by other brands?

In the early 1990s I had a radio talk show in North County. Every Thurs. night in the winter, I would play a game named "Is there snow at the Jacumba Texaco?" A caller would guess and the then folks working at the station would tell us the answer.

**They really use Liquid Nitrogen?** Sub Zero is a newly opened ice cream shop in the Ralph's/CVS/Trader Joe's shopping center. Its the new buzz for dessert lovers. They mix up the cream - still in a liquid form - which your chosen flavor and any toppings, and then freeze it right before your eyes with liquid nitrogen at -321 degrees. One can also order a non-fat, custard, or soy version. A little too sweet for me, and not cheap. $5.00+ for a small. But worth it once or for special occasions. We'll still hit Swirls Yogurt across the street for the regular sweet tooth.
