What Would You Do if You Found a Bank Money Bag?
Guess Bruce will have to take solace in the fact that he got a good night's sleep that night.— August 13, 2009 5:56 p.m.
What Would You Do if You Found a Bank Money Bag?
Boy! Maybe I'd better not show these comments to my husband as he might regret alerting the authorities about it. He knew it had to be bank money (money bound with bank wrappers with dye on most of the bills) so besides a conscience attack, there is always the chance that the money somehow gets traced back. Also being in a very public area has its drawbacks (someone watching etc). It's always fun to speculate though.— August 13, 2009 1:30 p.m.
What Would You Do if You Found a Bank Money Bag?
Interesting comment. Actually all of this took place just before things really went south with bank bailouts etc. Incidently, my husband was a little hurt that the bank didn't offer a small reward. They didn't even contact my husband to express an official thank you. The bank could easily have gotten the contact information from the police. Guess that tells you a bit about these big banks and their overall character.— August 13, 2009 12:09 p.m.
Krakatoa
Krakatoa is a hidden little jewel that is well worth seeking out. I was working in the area last week with my boss and fortunately had the opportunity to dine there for our lunch break. The casual, earthy atmosphere inside the "house" where the menu, order counter, glass food display case, and internet friendly tables as well as cushy furniture are found, exhibits a cool bohemian charm. The traitor's head sandwich was our selection for the meal which ocnsists of sliced lean beef with a mild horse radish creamy spread, cheese, tomatoes and onions sandwiched inside a torta like roll. The sandwich is complimented with a unique and delicious homemade potato salad. Many other sides are available if desired. On cool days, inside seating is preferred which also invites one of many specialty coffee/tea beverages offered. However, in nicer weather, the wooden deck nestled in lush greenery is the ticket. I knew I'd scored points with my boss when I witnessed him pocketing a sample menu before leaving this appealing local eatery.— October 11, 2008 6:11 p.m.
