Mr. Benjamin’s Cotillion comes to Coronado
WONDERFUL!! Thanks for taking us back to a more innocent time and forward to perhaps a more polite society--with just a few manners.— May 5, 2010 1:17 p.m.
GIN and Ironic
"There's a sucker born every minute." P.T. Barnum Your parents sound a lot like mine. Along with advice on protecting myself from con artists was, "Never flash your money, never sit with your back to the door, and never, ever take sides against the family."— May 5, 2010 12:33 p.m.
Old Men in Chula Vista Are Different Now
Great story! I REALLY enjoyed reading this. Congrats on the win!— May 5, 2010 8:15 a.m.
Happy Pill
Wow. Please take care of yourself. If I can't read your column every week, then *I* will need medication. Sounds like David is a one-in-a-million kind of guy, to stand by you a provide so much support. I applaud him. To cheer you up, here's an article I wrote for Vision Magazine sometime ago about us Italians and psychiatry: http://www.visionmagazine.com/archives/0903/Viewp…— April 21, 2010 3:04 p.m.
Dorian Hargrove suffers life-changing skateboard accident
This has to be the most powerful story the Reader has ever published! I hope you make a full recovery, and doubt you will ever be "just another ingrate." You have the awareness and the determination to do what you want to do. And I believe you will do it!— April 21, 2010 2:53 p.m.
Hot in the City
This is a GREAT story...and cause. Not only did I laugh 'till I fell off my chair, but I also appreciated the underlying reason for the event. I happen to know someone whose son is was burned in an explosion many years ago and was involved with the Burn Center. My friend still talks about the great work this organization does, and how it would have been difficult, if not impossible, for the family to survive the ordeal without them. Thanks for doing/writing/being a part of this!— April 14, 2010 1:11 p.m.
Brewskies
Great article! I really enjoyed reading this. BTW: TTTEA sounds like one of those Teabagger Party people. Same sense of logic.— February 22, 2010 8:29 a.m.
Road Rage on Horseback
Great story! Only I found myself wishing that when you found the bikers they had all crashed and burned. It would have been sweet. Really. Being Italian, I guess vendetta just runs through my veins. Hope your foot is better.— February 11, 2010 11:27 a.m.
Faking It
My mother said it well when she told me, "Sometimes you have to respect the dog for the master."— February 11, 2010 11:08 a.m.
Ugly Truth
The "Jersey Girls" would like to welcome you into our club. We all "tell it like it is."— November 18, 2009 2:10 p.m.
