Underachievers and Free Lunch
There is no such thing as a free lunch. The school lunches are paid for by taxes... And at times, school meals are the only meals a student eats--regardless of ethnicity or location or school. I also fail to see how lunch and language are related. Kids need to eat.— May 12, 2010 12:26 p.m.
Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace?
I have all three... Besides this weekend, I haven't been on Myspace in months! And without internet at home and fbk blocked at work, I can only update or respond via my phone. Twitter's fun. I only got it because another website I use went down a year ago and updates on the process were posted on Twitter. And then I was hooked.— April 27, 2010 9:39 a.m.
None
Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback and am now considering writing something specifically about the bar... I know there's a lot of underlying factors as to why I'm wary. SDaniels: I do tend to repress/supress emotions. Usually, when I'm telling someone something that recently made me want to cry my eyes out. I find I can be very straight forward and fact oriented when something more personal would come off better... Given that, I imagine, it's no wonder that I keep my most private writings--about my daily life and thoughts--to a website few of my irl friends know about; and these writings are further hidden still with further restrictions.— April 16, 2010 2:13 p.m.
Wave of Concern
Why call Child Support Services? The number should have been Child Protection Services... or the cops as so many people have said. National CPS Hotline: 1-800-244-6000 San Diego CPS: 1-858-560-2191— April 6, 2010 1:53 p.m.
Saffron Thai restaurants hit by internet scammers
What if these restaurants started a policy that any large order has to be places in person, or at least discussed once in person? It'll cut down on the issues, I think, especially when billing and costs gets brought up.— April 2, 2010 11:12 a.m.
Where is City Heights?
You could answer with east of North Park. If the asker is young enough (and trendy enough), they'll get what you mean.— March 25, 2010 10:46 a.m.
The Man with the Yellow Paper
The City Heights Post Office has a stamp machine, ya know.— March 25, 2010 10:43 a.m.
Pounding the Pavement
I thought Blockbuster was going out of business? Also, don't sell your mother short. It doesn't seem like she wanted/liked to work, and she did make a living out of that... just saying...— March 24, 2010 10:05 a.m.
My Life Aquatic
I'm curious, why journey to Lomaland? Are you a Loma student?— March 24, 2010 9:40 a.m.
