The Breakfast Club
Why are there so many removed comments? What did the comments say?— August 17, 2010 4:29 p.m.
Crystal meth came into the house on Oceanside's East Parker Street
It's really a rather genious plan on behalf of the Reader; shock and awe people into picking up the Reader. Then it's just a tiny step to get people to actually read the Reader. Dorian was the guy that had the skateboard accident, right? I remember the article. My morbid curiosity wanted to find out how it all happened, and thus, article read.— August 17, 2010 10 a.m.

Less drug usage means less bureacracy? There's a thought... (sidenote, i initially misspelled bureacracy with a z... i may adopt the misspelling) Now if only the other million or so people on this side, or that side, or either side, realized just how connected things are and did something about it.— August 17, 2010 9:56 a.m.

That you know of, Parker. Don't assume opinions from the lack of comments.— August 16, 2010 3:58 p.m.
Barefoot and Braless
i'm reconsidering renter's insurance now, for when i do become a renter... I hope all is well Ms. Moir. And that the time lapse between the fire and posting the story is due to the summer fun you're having and not to summer woes.— August 16, 2010 3:33 p.m.

which experts are those Parker?— August 16, 2010 3:17 p.m.
Lost Belongings
Rylshlbk1, do you mean the blight of cops who don't help? Or the lifeguards that don't assist? Whatever blight you mean, (and i imagine you meant Sonny, for whatever reason), ignoring it won't make it go away. Much like plaque, the blight will grow into a bigger plague for society.— August 16, 2010 1:35 p.m.

reply to #2 i love that you caught that Refried... Personally, i hate, absolutely hate, when someone uses that phrase. ("ya know," or you know what i'm saying?") I don't know, you didn't explain yourself. What I don't get is why the heck the Reader chose such a gross picture for the front? At first glance, the face just looks really creepy and gross. But alas, it got me to read the story, you know what i mean?— August 16, 2010 12:28 p.m.

Hmm, very true Refried... I hadn't thought of that. And the lines just keep getting worse. I went on vacation to Mexico days after 9/11 and walking back was horrible...— August 16, 2010 12:17 p.m.

Not only is that pathway not dangerous (from the few times i've walked it) but, like Refried said, Mexico isn't dangerous either. You're not the only one not affected, Refried. My family's survived the violence that the media so loves to push. How did the towers falling affect tourism? I hadn't thought of that...— August 16, 2010 12:01 p.m.
