I never knew of a ghost on the 2000!— September 28, 2010 9 a.m.
Update San Diego, 9/21/2010
I googled Marja... According to the wiki, Americans dug irrigation canals in the 50s. Now, that area and the canals are being used to grow poppies. A definitely interesting turn of events.— September 22, 2010 9:51 a.m.
Short Story Jam - You're Invited To Join In!
Re: 25 What if you compile the comments/paragraphs and add the usernames in parenthesis at the end? That way everyone can still see who wrote what.— September 21, 2010 3:19 p.m.
They Shoot Engineers, Don't They?
Leaving to never return again, doesn't sound very heroic considering the writer arrived at 2pm, then did a 2 hour test. At most, the writer spent 3 hours in the place. "I do not realize as I sit here at my cheap desk that I am on the threshold of starting my own company, designing and selling industrial process controls." Does this mean Norm Looper has started his own company? And reply to #3: The decision was probably more about Mr. Looper's retirement. The company can't say age. But they can make it a financial issue.— September 21, 2010 11:58 a.m.
Chula Vista Is the Happiest Place on Earth
"'The [South County Music and Arts Festival] is happening on Mexican Independence Day.'" Mexico's Independence Day is on the 16th, officially. Everyone celebrates on the 15th. The 18th, is the weekend after, not the actual day.— September 9, 2010 1:52 p.m.
French Gourmet bust makes the NY Times
If the Reader hasn't done an article on immigration and/or the restaurant industry. It seems like now would be as good a time as any.— September 8, 2010 2:30 p.m.
Times Highlights Malecot Indictment
hmm... If Mr. Malecot is convicted and sentenced to 30 yrs, then the restaurant business will change. Eventually, there'll just be less restaurants. Oh the humanity! Where will people eat? ;)— September 8, 2010 11:53 a.m.
Downtown Tijuana Jail to Be Abandoned
reply to 6: that would require that the government buy the property between the existing park and the corner in question. Which, although a lovely idea, wouldn't really benefit many.— September 7, 2010 10:25 a.m.
The Pill for Men, Human Cannonball
Comment field's spellcheck is a feature of some computers and/or browers (not sure which). Not all comment fields are the same. I think the rap comment was more about the songs than the rappers.— September 7, 2010 10:13 a.m.
How do you personally benefit through taxes?
A driver's license with original birth certificate works too, if one doesn't have a passport.— September 7, 2010 9:58 a.m.
