In 8 years, home prices in Otay Ranch went from $320,000 to $750,000 and back
the kids on my block run around still... but i never did, there were no kids around when i was a kid. i always find the 'stranger danger' worry to be blown out of proportion... if anything, parents need to worry more about their neighbors than about strangers. and i'm not saying this to be mean, although i could see how someone would read it like this. just speaking from experience and facts. “'We have beer, to make sure the adults have a great time.'" This reminds me of a joke i've seen floating around online about mexicans... you know you're mexican when you go a kid's bday party and there's more beer for the adults than juice for the children. . . . or when you call all closed toe shoes 'tenis.'— November 10, 2010 3:08 p.m.
Paranormal Activity 2
It's scarier than the first paranormal; and by that i mean, i was actually spooked during some of the movie... and when the person next to me scared me.— November 8, 2010 11:13 a.m.
Grape Soda
2 things: 1--i love looking at people when i'm in the passenger's seat. especially at the border crossing. 2--up until my senior yr (or maybe late junior yr) in college, i always pulled all nighters by drinking water; and sometimes a snack... a constant urge to pee definitely proved a bigger motivator to finish my work than sleep did.— November 8, 2010 9:07 a.m.
Horse Sleep, Flatulent Vapor, Prison Life for Disabled
i always find it way cool when i'm able to have a serious conversation about the silliest things, like farting. it's probably the one true sign of someone that doesn't take themselves too seriously. also, i wonder if horses rolling around in sand serves the same purpose as a bird doing it, for cleaning purposes, perhaps? or maybe because getting dirty is just so much darn fun!— November 4, 2010 8:21 a.m.

As a Citizen Activist....Sharing My Research and Endorsements of Candidates and Props
totally printed the chamber of commerce's summary from their website... and you forgot prop 23... any reason for that?— November 2, 2010 4:18 p.m.
Who Runs Our Elections and How Safe Actually are They?
This reminds me of a postsecret I saw sometime ago... The secret was about the sender trashing any ballot that had voted yes on Prop 8... I tried looking for it to no avail. If anyone has it, or finds it, please post it? Voting is practically the one democratic process I still believe and have trust in... too bad the government sucks A55.— November 2, 2010 4:07 p.m.
Horse Sleep, Flatulent Vapor, Prison Life for Disabled
Mindy, everyone's speaking from experience. No one has the same experiences. Get over it and realize that others might be right too. And, btw, for Canadians, Montana is to the south. on a different note, i wonder how one would go about lighting a fart on fire... and wouldn't this burn one's butt and/or body hair?— November 2, 2010 1:47 p.m.
A Power Greater Than Ourselves
2 instances come to mind when the belief in a higher power, specifically God (of the Bible) fixed my insanity. The first that comes to mind was a matter of learning to forgive. Forgive those that had hurt me and those that had hurt my family. (really good to learn since it was during my freshman semester at Loma and i was around all those that had hurt my family). the second, and chronologically first, rescue from the higher power, was almost a decade ago. that was, put simply, when i came to believe in said higher power providing a path to salvation--Jesus' cruxifiction, burial and subsequent resurrection on the third day. Interestingly enough, a coworker and i were discussing matters not relevant to work when the topic of faith came up. She stated that if she ever has children, she would raise them within a church. her reason being, those that she knows that consider themselves atheist appear lost. i concur. there's a certain weight lifted when one gives up power to a stronger individual, whether an actual person that you let take care of something; or a Supreme higher power, like God, that you confer and look to for guidance, an answer, or for relatioship— October 28, 2010 1:58 p.m.
Change of plans to minister to a laid off friend
truer words have never been spoken. Whether about unemployment, a bad hair day or death, 'everything's going to be okay' is the one constant. (that and change)— October 28, 2010 1:30 p.m.
