What do you wish you could afford?
"There’s so much we need to do." Nothing is ever 'a need to do.' We always have choices. We choose to prioritize some things above other things Andre Pate may also want to consider checking his finances and finding a way to retire earlier rather than sooner, or find a way to survive and not work so much. I can only assume that's what Pate meant when he said there's much needed to be done. Besides that gripe, I wish I could afford a new laptop paid in cash. Savings and/or credit cards don't mean I can afford it, it means I can buy it.— November 17, 2010 12:32 p.m.
THOUGHTS OF MY DAD ON VETERANS DAY
hmmm, in those cases i would agree with you then. no parent should place a bf/lover before one's children. when i say spouse, i mean one's husband (or wife). the one other person that would give their life for the children and does also have and want the best for the children.— November 15, 2010 2:55 p.m.

THOUGHTS OF MY DAD ON VETERANS DAY
emster, i'm truly saddened and sad that you didnt' find your dad until it was too late. it's my worry that i won't learn about my dad's death until months or years have passed... it's a horrible thing to not have both parents in a child's life. sure, divorces and breakups happen, other families come into the picture, but a parent should never not stay in their child's life.— November 12, 2010 1:47 p.m.
THOUGHTS OF MY DAD ON VETERANS DAY
i don't think i fully agree with you surf puppy. i think sometimes it is essential to place one's spouse before the children. I don't mean abandon or neglect the children, and yes, parents should always act with their children's well being as their main motivation. but i think that sometimes it is important to place the spouse first. at the end of the day, and at the start, you sleep and wake up with your spouse--not the children. at the end, it's just you and your spouse. there's no one else there... children grow up and move out. the spouse stays.— November 12, 2010 1:45 p.m.
Fashion Police
ohh, that's a great idea bohemian! and re the controversial first comment, David not liking something Barbarella wears is no different than a wife not liking an ugly old shirt her husband wears.— November 11, 2010 8:25 a.m.
