What is the matter with people?
Thank you, all of you for your kind words, at least for me:))) I am going to write a series of reports about the mistreatment of people with service dogs, I have enough of my own stories to keep going for a while. Thank you so much for reading the blog and caring enough to comment. Wait until you read what else happened on Nantucket!!!!! When I finish with both stories I am going to take your advice and mail to corp headquarters of both, the grocery chain and the restaurant from the next story.— April 22, 2009 2:45 p.m.
Doggedly Determined
Sorry you think that way. Over 98% of all people pick up after their pets, Pets bring a lot of joy and love to people, I run a therapy group and bring dogs to visit people in hospitals. It's the one time a day someone smiles. What if by accident you lost the use of your legs, wouldn't you want anyway to make your new life easier?. Think of all the men and women coming back from the war, their lives changed forever, maybe friends stayed around for a bit, then left. parents had to go home, and here is this brave Marine crying to the only thing that has not left him, the one thing he can count on day after day....his service dog. The dog that now helps him get dressed in the morning, the dog that can hand him his toothpaste if the Marine no longer has his arms, and the dog that day after day will do this job, not for pay, not for praise, because he is a dog and that's what they do. I hope someday you will see the amazing side of dogs, until then if you see someone who has not had the chance to pick up after their pet, please pick it up for them as you never know how kind acts feel— April 9, 2009 10:41 p.m.
