I'm Not "420 Friendly," But "420 Allergic!"
Aw c'mon, Robbie. Don't be such a buzzkill. :) Personally, I'd much rather drive around on the roads with a bunch of potheads than alkies. Much safer. The weeders just go reeeeeaally slooooooow, as opposed to half blind and all over the road. And, you'd like me better stoned. Hell, 'I' like me better stoned, and I'm around me 24/7. Much more agreeable that way. (Obviously, I haven't smoked in a long time.) :)— July 25, 2010 8:46 p.m.
What do you want done with your body after you die?
LOL @ Joe. :) I thought that was vampires, Grantie? It's witches? WHOOP! I'm immortal!!! Wait, does this mean I never get to retire?— July 17, 2010 12:34 a.m.
Has "Mad Max" Morphed Into "Mad Mel"?

Comic Relief is Dead
Hey, I missed an EVA CASSIDY discussion? Ya'll DO know that she's my #1 idol? The best, bar none. I even worked with a couple of guitarists on an "Eva Cassidy Tribute" sorta thingy, back 3-4 years ago. Neither worked out, due to personal drama that had nothing to do with music. We were working on "Autumn Leaves," "Woodstock," and "Fields of Gold." Here she is, on Autumn Leaves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSXYu-3r1S8&a=ISh4… In fact, here's my YouTube channel, with my own Eva video right at the top: http://www.youtube.com/user/antigeekess (It's a little hard to make a vid on someone who has very few public pictures in existence. I did the best I could at the time.) Wow. Almost 22,000 views. Hadn't checked in a while. Wow! Something new! When my vid stopped playing on its own page... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arCs2Lw1Nu8 ...another Eva vid started, in an automatic "Eva Cassidy Mix!" That's COOL! Usually YouTube's changes annoy me, but this is really groovy. :) Next in the Eva mix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFFo1pu4q7Q&a=ISh4… All ya ever need to know about singing. Riiiiiight there in that lady. I'll stop now. :)— July 11, 2010 11:38 a.m.
Flags
Oh, somebody said "hick Texan," and I thought I was being paged. :) I posted this on my Facebook page a couple days ago: http://www.kvue.com/news/Homeless-man-rescues-Ame… Interestingly, the 2 "likes" that I got for it were you, refried, and the most Christian-y conservative Facebook friend that I have, a former neighbor from Arizona. I thought that was kinda cool. :) The U.S. flag at the post office where I work is never taken down. It stays up, day and night, through all the rain, etc. It's tattered and looks like crap. Par for the halfass course at my office. Postmaster's Polish. Could have something to do with it. Way to go, USPS.— July 11, 2010 11:05 a.m.
This One Goes Out To The One I Love
Let's all just hope we don't end up here: "The writer stares with glassy eyes --- Defies the empty page His beard is white, his face is lined And streaked with tears of rage. Thirty years ago, how the words would flow With passion and precision, But now his mind is dark and dulled By sickness and indecision. And he stares out the kitchen door Where the sun will rise no more..." -- from "Losing It" (RUSH) Just a devastating song. Here's the whole thing, if anyone's curious: http://www.lyricsdepot.com/rush/losing-it.html Aaaaand proof that RUSH still attracts nerds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRPN5cvo-Do :)— July 5, 2010 7:01 p.m.

This One Goes Out To The One I Love
"The boy lies in the grass unmoving Staring at the sky. His mother starts to call him as a hawk goes soaring by. And the boy pulls down his baseball cap and covers up his eyes... You move me, you move me With your buildings and your eyes Autumn woods and winter skies You move me, you move me Open sea and city lights Busy streets and dizzy heights You call me, you call me... Too many hands on my time, Too many feelings Too many things on my mind And when I leave I don't know what I'm hoping to find And when I leave I don't know what I'm leaving behind...." From memory, and probably wrong. You likely know already that this is "Analog Kid," Grantie. It's always reminded me of Whitman's "Song of Myself." In fact, let's see how I did... http://www.lyricsfreak.com/r/rush/the+analog+kid_… SO much better than I remembered. :) — July 4, 2010 11:17 p.m.
Krazy Kabbie
I remember that previous story. Different cab. Wonder if it was the same cabbie? http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2010/mar/30/bo…— July 3, 2010 8:20 p.m.
