I personally don't think morons, imbeciles, or idiots should be fed either. (At least, not on message boards or blogs.)
I might crack the window for one on a hot day, though.

Life as Workweek
Meh. People can gimp around with congestive heart failure for several years. Why don't you try to figure out WHY you became such a boozehound, and finally deal with it? THAT might be a worthwhile endeavor. I'd suggest you try to spend your last couple years teaching creative writing somewhere, but that requires sobriety. Teaching would have suited you -- a constant new crop of adoring students, hanging on your every charming, divinely inspired word. Hard to fathom that you're not hiding your bottles in a university professor's bottom desk drawer on an ivy covered campus somewhere. You 'could' still try. You could crank out a final book of deathbed confessions, fuzzy memories and utter bulls***. I'd buy it. At the very least, you could get your s*** together in time to make a cool video to post on YouTube for posterity, especially your own grandchildren. Kinda like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo But instead of "Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" you could title it with some more articulate version of "F***ing It All Up Royally: What Not To Do." Sort of a Taoist approach, really... I hope you choose to make your last year(s) your most productive ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyWiE1vNSxU— April 7, 2010 7:08 p.m.

A Pit Bull's Point of View
Thanks for this, Mindy. I'm printing it to give to a coworker tomorrow who's pregnant with her second baby, and therefore, has just acquired her second pit bull. She doesn't seem to get it that pit bulls and babies don't just automatically go together like bread & butter. MAYBE this latest story and your advice will help drive home the message.— April 7, 2010 4:58 p.m.
Sweeping Up The Shards
Re #15: It's devastatingly beautiful, isn't it, Grant? Passed over that month in favor of some rather short entry about sports, I think. Oh well, there's no accounting for (lack of) taste...— April 6, 2010 6:31 p.m.
Found a Peanut
Hey! BOO-yah!!! Congrats, Grantie! :)— April 6, 2010 6:07 p.m.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
That I'm thinking about how nice their liver might taste with some fava beans and a nice chianti? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVlkZVAw8Gc :)— April 6, 2010 6:05 p.m.

Cyberlove....fictional
Sooooo....now there's a COMPLETELY different blog entry at the top of the page than there was yesterday when most of these comments were posted (which was a reposting of this): http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/come-rattle… Interesting move. http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.com/200…— April 6, 2010 12:30 p.m.
Wave of Concern
Right on, Grant. What a bunch of mob-mentality p*ssies Americans have become. Bunch of cowardly twerps telling you "That's not cool," as if being "cool" was something a grownass woman needs to worry about. But you'll never need to worry about that anyway, G-Dawg. http://www.lolblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/… :)— April 6, 2010 12:17 p.m.
Getting The Check
Oy. What an odyssey. Is that place guarded by a 3-headed dog and fiery gates? Have to ride a ferry across a river to get there, by any chance? I guess the traditional advice here would be to break it into smaller paragraphs and use quotes in it, but I think the run-on style is actually quite appropriate for it. Was that a case of http://rlv.zcache.com/i_did_it_on_porpoise_tshirt… ? :)— April 5, 2010 11:30 p.m.
