SEC Pays Gary Aguirre Big Sum, but More Cleansing Needed
Readers should be reminded of your previous comments regarding revolving-door employment between SEC and the firms it supposedly regulates, not to mention the political marriage that apparently insulated Bernie Madoff from scrutiny.— June 29, 2010 11:12 a.m.

Later, Skaters
I'm kind of waiting for a Donna Frye spokesperson to add to this thread some sort of logical, unbiased explanation...— June 28, 2010 2:13 p.m.
He Knowingly Sold Defective Parts to Military; Gets Two Years
Two years is good enough if he has to ride around strapped to a nosebleed-high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle in Afghanistan. Under the Geneva Conventions, it is most likely illegal for a members of an indigenous religious non-uniformed force to shoot anti-air missiles at a manned UAV, especially on weekends... but permissible only if they can hit it with one shot to prevent inflicting cruel and unusual punishment.— June 28, 2010 2:09 p.m.
None
I am easily entertained... but not so skilled as to create a postage stamp portrait. That takes effort AND patience.— June 27, 2010 1:23 p.m.
Redevelopment Agency to Spend Half a Million on Blight Study
"If the City can force us to conserve Water why can't we demand that the City conserve Money?" I'm still trying to figure out how much of that accounting-hiring money at SEDC that Carolyn Smith actually redirected to staff bonuses was from community development block grants... BTW we in the audience got free food at the Encanto planning meeting for Christmas...— June 27, 2010 1:13 p.m.
So Much Things to Say
Just as long as nobody mentions my mudflaps...— June 27, 2010 1:09 p.m.
Redevelopment Agency to Spend Half a Million on Blight Study
RE #2: Thanks! I'm thinking of making up my own "last place blog" award to use for my new blog pix...— June 27, 2010 11:34 a.m.
One Ugly Thirst
RE #5: Sometimes previewing a blog isn't exactly what others will see once it's posted, especially when the too-smart preview gives too much information on HTML links. I love it when the blog editor just ignores the recommendations it offers on italics or bold and just spits out a bunch of asterisks! (Or maybe that's been fixed by now?) Isn't it funny how, after MyFarce came out with its newer enhanced rich-text blog editor, everybody just left?— June 27, 2010 11:28 a.m.
