Check 'n Go checks out of North Park
Interesting. So who does Mr. Passons and his friends suggest folks with horrible credit go if they wish to borrow money and get checks cashed if they don't have bank accounts? Rates are high for folks who are a poor risk. Regular banks don't loan to folks who are poor risks. Is Mr. Passons going to open his own wallet?— December 8, 2015 3:38 p.m.
KPBS and U-T plug Jacobs airport-moving scheme
Would have been with you til your ugly crack about women in the Marines.— December 8, 2015 11:49 a.m.
Justice in the tuna industry
As I remember it, the US only recognized a 3 or 10 mile limit, while other countries to the south of us recognize a more extensive border, was it 100 miles? The specifics I cannot remember. But I recall several ship wereboarded seized, or their cargo taken by the authorities.— December 7, 2015 2:59 p.m.
Airport staff to fatten up in exclusive digs
I hope you are kidding, John Stump.— December 7, 2015 10:22 a.m.
So, this monkey walks into a grocery store...
Not a dumb Marmoset...goes directly to the closest grocery store to check out the offerings.— December 4, 2015 9:43 a.m.
Giant, ugly storage facility okayed
I appreciate your history, and note that you left out the old Radio Shack that used to be in that line of businesses facing Handyman turned Dixieline. I worked at that Handyman back in the day, and family friends owned that Radio Shack Franchise. I use that Commercial Street area multiple times a day. I loved seeing it come to life with the little breweries and all. ANOTHER storage place? And a big block of concrete to boot? Nice way to stop the cute small people-friendly business that started adding to the area. Not liking the Spring Street Corridor thing is ok, I guess, but this is at the dead end of Spring Street, not a part of that problem at all.— November 24, 2015 4:11 p.m.
Anastasia Kirkeby sentenced to therapy
I don't understand why she gets such preferential treatment. She;s a thug who contributed to the death of a young woman who died in a fire at that house. She jumps bail. and gets light treatment?— November 24, 2015 10:34 a.m.
L.A. Times and U-T stars take bow
Osborne will be missed...Showley.....really?— November 24, 2015 10:32 a.m.
Tourist money spigot wide open

City slickness for East County
You've had ugly comments about La Mesa, too...like in your comments about the development on Commercial Street, where they are going to put in ANOTHER storage building, taking down the relatively nice mid-century building there now.— November 18, 2015 10:54 a.m.
