Sweetwater district’s mellow ruse
Now that I am retired (or am I really?) I a bit out of touch but I have to tell you this is just about the biggest boondoggle possible. Calhoun what a patsy and lap dog for Ed. He has to go now. He attempts to be a master of bureaucratic doublespeak. Remember who is carrying the water now for the District. I saw what Calhoun did and it is despicable. Everybody knows he is a liar. Government has no reason to do this kind of speculation. Sweetwater can not get out of its own way. Check your history on Mello Roos it was set up as a way fund infrastructure improvements for new development post prop 13. A District Office Building is not what Mello Roos is all about. Oh are we happy around here!! You know there is one problem with lying and misleading. It eventually catches up to you. We all know around here who were Ed's "boys" doing his dirty work blindly without regard to integraty. Russo you think she was brought back to make sure the columns add up? School officials Gandara and Sandoval plead guilty
Concur with the comments about Susan Luzarro. Thanks to those ladies and we know who they are and some we don't who put this puzzle together. This District internally is just in a bunker mode. Let us not forget that still work here that the Sweetwater Way is still alive and well as long as Ed Brand and his stooges like Tom Calhoun and Diane Russo are around. How can these people live with themselves. For those of us who are inside the organzation and you wonderful people on the outside remember to take names of who have continue to lie and decieve the public and do not have the integrity to speak up. Sweetwater district teachers vote on strike
Why does a District that benefits from Local Control Funding more than most always seem to have "financial trouble" seem to never have any money? We all know there are issues. The problem is nobody seems to really fess up to the real numbers. It is deception do not tell anybody sweep under the rug or get rid of somebody who wants to tell the truth. Before we get into the money let us just start with a District who really gives a damn about the Teachers. You don't become a Teacher to make a killilng in life. Let us start with respect. I used to be a Teacher but now in Adminsitration. Look when the vast majority of your costs are staff related you can control costs primarily in three fashions, reduce personnel, increase class size, or decrease salary and benefits. So if you knew the real financial condition then it pretty comes down to arithmetic. The problem is this District lies and hides. Look at the new District Office. Tom Calhoun's touts this like it is the best thing since the iPad. Wait let me think of a better example. We can afford a District Office? Are you kidding me. County board of education occupies Sweetwater
I am back from a hiatus and thank god I do not have to work tomorrow. I am beginning to count the days or is it months until I go public. I have to wait for the right moment. The corruption continues in this District it is just more subtle and under the radar. Though I do recall that those execs from Enron got nailed by willfull deceit in financial disclosures. Sound familiar Superintendent Brand? Ed I was hoping you might be bitten by a Shark in Hawaii but when you were in the water they mistook it for a fat pig feeding at the public trough. Sharks do not like Pork I hear. As far as the Board of Education I have two questions: 1) what does the Board of Education really do? 2) who built the pyramids? If you can answer both you REALLY are a genius. John McCann nice bio in the Star News. That should go well in your quest to be on the Chula Vista City Council. I had to slink away from work so I only got a minute. If Tom Calhoun's Majical Mystery Tour aka Bus Ride to the new District Headquarters is bad enough. I heard John McCann wants to have his name on the Marquis/billboards at schools? Are you kidding me. This guy is not qualified to be Assistant Dog Catcher. OMG Here we go again. Those of us who are in the supposed inner circle or very close to those who are (you guess ED!!!!) can not believe the rumors we are hearing about deals between Ed and the Board members. This culture of corruption both moral and illegal continues in this District. Somebody is going to be smart enough to nail ED. Maybe the FBI. “L” Street. Audit. Bank Records. Transactions with straw organizations and people. Follow the money. Then I heard of something I would have no part ot..a tour of the District Headquarters by Tom Calhoun. Are you kidding me? Well we may not have the Three Stooges (or maybe we do?) but we sure got one in Tom Calhoun. Teachers that are distraught, moral is low, and we are looking at a District Headquarters in Eastlake? Are you kidding me to take District staff on this tour? Gee that sure gives us leverage in our negotiations!!! How do these people live with themselves!! Has anybody heard of personal integrity? Former South Bay schools officials have day in court
As a District employee I probably should not comment. They have probably on to me right? What is sad about this and I have read those Grand Jury Transcripts is that the real BIG criminal sits up there on the dais and never elected. The Board members are alleged to have taken bribes. It hurt us by by allowing them to take advantage of their position for personal gain. In the context of hurting this District's students it may actually be small. However, Dr. Brand has hurt the lives of thousands of students by creating a toxic environment within this District and its employees. I am not fronting for the Union. I am just saying the real crime is these Board members allow this evil man to continue. Well tomorrow is the day of the Immaculate Conception. If there was a Turd that was created by God without food it was Ed Brand. Right now he is a Floater. At the top of the toilet. With enough evidence, an IRS Audit?, State Audit, somebody is going to find something against him. Sweetwater district spent big for Arne Duncan visit
OMG you could cut the tension with a knife for those at the District the last 24 hours. How many times can you lie and expect to get away with it? Fire Al Alt? Are you kidding me? Where are those emails who sat on them and who is gonna let somebody know what really went on? Does my crazy employer actually think they could get away with this stuff. I know/hear what goes on in Cabinet. **There will be more revealed**. I have tried to lie low because Superintendent Sociopath aka Ed Brand is always sniffing. There are some smart people on that Bond Committee. The public ought to pay attention carefully on what is said. We District employees need to contact our representatives. Flood Lorena Gonzalez, Shirley Weber, David Alvarez and Ben Hueso with emails. Let them know what is going on. Contact their staff. We have to undermine Ed Brand. Ed Brand needs to go to his Estate in Escondido and hide behind the access gates to his property in shame. Let him and Tom Hassey share war stories on how they were both misunderstood. Let Ed wind the Eight Day Clocks at Alliant University. Anything but making life miserable for all of us. He could become a member of the Putz Anonymous Support Group. Cops kick out public from Sweetwater board meeting
I still have not gotten over that sign above Ed's Door on Boss's Day. Now this! How about that Fire Alarm Story on Channel 10? The Bond Chair Marinovich is no idiot. I got to tell you for those who saw that story it is an OMG moment. The teachers union people at work are so angry. We knew there would be a problem for the Board meeting. For those of us who have been around here for years we know it is par for the course to lie and hide. Deceive. Cut deals. Hope that nobody will notice or care. One problem this is now different. They are some smart people who have an eye on you. That Anniej is a Bulldog with a Pitbull personality. Those who find themselves protecting this idiot Superintendent will also pay the piper.
