San Diego is 12th greenest city
When the oil supply gets low enough and the price gets high enough, will we be able to afford "renewable" lubricants? Whale blubber anyone? (Sea World to the RESCUE!)— October 18, 2015 4:52 p.m.
San Diego is 12th greenest city
When "wants" undermine needs, a point can be reached where "people" will HAVE to accept the consequences. Sail, for example, is not only "free" fuel, it doesn't foul the air and is more fun, not to mention having a certain elegance. Helium ain't the problem, it's hydrogen. And weather--but that ain't all bad as long as one is headed easterly. What do you want? What do you need? Tw— October 18, 2015 4:45 p.m.

SD emerges from Great Recession
I "went into the workforce" in about 1945, doing "chores" on my pappy's farm. My first job was picking cotton. I bought a football with my wages. I am lucky to have lived a life full of misery, poverty, deprivation, abuse, and stress--agony and ecstasy. Everything I am, good and bad, or everything I still hope to be, I owe to my loving mother, father, friends, and enemies. They taught me how to resist. Resist, resist, RESIST! But most of all, I owe most of my maturation, polish, education, and reformation into a loving, person to my loving wife. And my grandmother. Tw— October 18, 2015 1:56 p.m.

Age prejudice, if that's what you mean, is not the object's or victim's problem, it is the problem of the one doing the prejudging. Tw— October 18, 2015 1:44 p.m.

Those who have jobs are all serfs; some are more highly paid than others. I think Emerson (unless he stole it from somebody) said something like "No man should be the means for the ends of another man." Tw— October 18, 2015 1:40 p.m.

By "the best you can," do you mean that you do the best you can not to be mislead? What would Joseph say? What would Joseph DO?— October 17, 2015 6:01 p.m.
