Losing my Bliss
I'm so sorry! I just had another friend who had to let their dog go due to cancer, and it is heartbreaking. My oldest is 13 and his little legs are starting to fail which I'm trying not to notice.— July 14, 2012 8:48 a.m.
Let em Roll
Someday. I need to write more. And the blogs desperately need some sort or silly tall sharon musing to counteract all the angry people. Gives me a headache. :)— July 12, 2012 6:18 p.m.
July 4th--America's Day In The Sun!
Have we allowed ourselves to be deluded into thinking that America's Way is The Only Way life should be... believing it so much that we seek out new enemies to lay waste to in the Name of God and Country? Amen. There is a street in my community I've written about before- where dozens of flags go up and down at random times. There's a guy from oz who unfortunately bought a house in the middle of the right wing street who has given up celebrating his pride in his culture because of pressure from the neighbors. We are lucky I agree, but that street is just creepy,— July 3, 2012 5:09 p.m.
Community College.... What I learned in school today...
A teachable moment eh— July 3, 2012 4:59 p.m.
Hanging out at the Del Mar Racetrack in the '50s
Loved this slice from the 50s. I lived I Los Angeles and my uncle would drive us to TJ' in the back of his truck for destruction derbies. I have photos with the Tijuana zebras from that time, my 20s and my 40s.— July 3, 2012 4:56 p.m.
Heavy, But Not Metal: Trailerpark Rockstar

Nan and the Greenstalks
yep, i just can't help myself. i lust after that home grown tomato taste. years ago i found a great recipe with heirlooms, balsamic vinegar, capers and blue cheese. i dream about it, or rather i have interesting dreams after I eat it. In color. :)— July 1, 2012 1:54 p.m.
Nan and the Greenstalks
I hope my efforts meet the same! I have no idea why I can't resist planting them every year, seeing the lush green leaves and then, the big fat horn worms that love the marine layer, and I freak out. I envy those who live in the heartlands at tomato growing time- I lust over thriving tomato plants!— June 30, 2012 3:51 p.m.
thursdays ok
Thursday is an ok sort of day- with the end of the week in my sweet sights. Nice— June 28, 2012 4:11 p.m.
