There are a lot of us out here just one paycheck away. Peace— August 30, 2011 5:07 p.m.

Tribute Band Groupies
Deja Vu. Hey were you at anthology last night for the blood sweat and tears show. I was pondering the difference between a tribute band doing covers and a group billing itself as the group but with only 1 out of 9 actually ever a member. the distinctive singer role taken up by a guy who was not bad, but did his own version of the songs. They threw in 2 songs that were never part of the actual groups music- which they announced before the went into it, but the show was billed as the group, not a tribute band, and that is what sold tickets. Still had fun remembering lyrics and the crowd, but much discussion among ticket holders about this definition. And they had some local Matthew mc Connaughy (sp) double singer do one song that made this old girlies heart flutter a bit, and the hummus was great but. Similiar experience, thanks— August 7, 2011 5:32 p.m.
Fighting for a Pit Bull
One of my loves is a Pitt mix owned by my dear friend Mh and her name is Rose. this darling dog was a rescue, one of the hundreds of animals who owe their life and their health to my friend. I was a little afraid of the breed too, until I got to know the joy that is Rose. I smile just thinking about her. rose is devoted to her advocate and "mom", and is an example of the power of love and the joy of finding and rescuing a very special soul. thanks for this. I'll share this with my human friend, who could use a little joy right now, and a reminder that there are like souls out there who will bet on a dog that others discard. I'm one of those also.— August 7, 2011 5:15 p.m.
Starbucks, the new street corner
im not completely disillusioned, but the ones walking up to you with these sort of stories I believe are working you. i live in an area where there aren't obvious homeless but work in an area where there are. i also spot the good samaritans who are helping those truly in need- i support buying food, pay for a roomm at a motel, etc. just suggesting "informed giving" is the most effective-know what you are supporting. If they are getting pedicures, and asking you for money doesn't it make you think twice?— August 6, 2011 noon
Starbucks, the new street corner
"I have no money to feed my children and we were just rejected food stamps," she said, "but would you like to buy one of these bracelets my children and I made in remembrance of domestic violence So add in the word veterans and/ or my dog and she plucked all the heartstrings. Follow her home or back to her bmw. this is Prime time to pick tourists. Give your money to alpha project, father Joe, Vietnam vets of San Diego, YWCA, women's shelter. That way you know where the money is going. But then again, if it's easier to give your money away to random strangers where is the queue? Rejected for food stamps means probably too much income to qualify. Hmmm where is the money going. I give money to street musicians and artists, so at least she's hawking a product. Did she have a pedicure? Good haircut? Expensive shoes? Look like someone you might be friends with? Hmmm. I don't fault anyone with a big heart, but there are better ways to give to make sure someone is not just taking your money. Hustlers are very good at what they do, use the words they know open wallets. I'm not cynical, just realistic.— August 6, 2011 9:11 a.m.
She Showed Him the Moon

Marshall's Mojo
Hey Nan Believe me you don't want me to add any more activity to my life, my friends and family can barely catch a glimpse of me as I skid by! I'm not unhappy, I'm human. We all have those buttons others push, or we allow them to push. I'm working on it.:)— July 31, 2011 1:02 p.m.
Longhaired Relationship
