Unless there is imminent and significant danger to the public you cannot shoot someone in the back. If it is a fleeing murder suspect, or a violent crime, that would be the exception, and it better be crystal clear there was a serious and imminent danger of future conduct, Tennessee v Garner, cop shot a fleeing teenage burglary suspect in the back, climbing a fence to get away, killing him, he was no imminent or serious danger to the public. Cop paid.— July 30, 2013 10:59 a.m.

#Actually, leering CAN be considered as a form of sexual harassment. Apparently, you have never been in a management role, at least not in Ca. Don't take my word for it. Take a look at the State of California Department of Fair Employment . It defines sexual harassment in the workplace and leering IS included as prohibited behavior. No, I get that part of it and I took the leering comment straight from the CA state website, leering is NOT a crime and not sexual harassment. What may be "leering" to you- or some sue happy female- to ME is me just looking at you, or someone, for whatever reason, and it is not actionable conduct, civilly or criminally.— July 29, 2013 3:16 p.m.
Fugitive in custody after standoff in Imperial Beach
If the person being sought is wanted on a violent crime, and is a threat to the public, you can shoo them, even if they're running, but you obviously have to give them a chance to surrender first.— July 29, 2013 3:06 p.m.
