Spokesperson for San Diego's Lifeguard Union files run for District 2 council seat
**"Permanent Lifeguards are peace officers that enforce state and local laws."** Harris should be sued for fraud for making this whopper.......life guard is not now, never has been and never will be a job worth more than $10/hour, not the $100-$200/hour they get now.— July 8, 2013 9:18 a.m.
Raises ok'ed for Escondido's city attorney and city manager
**"In their defense, it's what they negotiated......."** That is what all public employees claim, but in reality the "negotiation" is never done at an arms length, but usually between two parties that are engaged in quid pro quo fraud. If the party who was "negotiating" the pay actually PAID the compensation then the argument would hold water.— July 7, 2013 6:13 p.m.
Jeff Olson, the Mad Chalker, prosecuted by city attorney for words in front of Bank Of America
**If the Bank of America did force this prosecution and the City Attorney filed and pursued it in order to further his political ambitions (quite a miscalculation, if true), then I think the Bank should be sued in civil court for malicious prosecution and abuse of process.** Well believe it or not, this is not against the law for the city attorney to do, and they can even act in a *malicious manner* and still get what is known as *prosecutorial immunity*. B of A and SDPD may be sued, but not the CA (again the City can but only b/c they employ SDPD)..— July 7, 2013 6:07 p.m.
Did City Attorney Jan Goldsmith lift the suspension on closed session meetings?
I expect Filner to tear Goldie, or his rep, a new ass after the Jeff Olson debacle............— July 7, 2013 10:27 a.m.
Raises ok'ed for Escondido's city attorney and city manager
**What wasn’t discussed was the value of their fringe benefits, which increase their compensation by about 49 percent. When city-funded retirement contributions, health-insurance contributions, auto allowance, holidays, vacation, and management leave are factored into their compensation, they would each be paid annually about $350,000, effective June 26; $360,000, starting July 1, 2014; and $377,000 six months later** $377K for a city job in this economy, in ANY economy, what the F**K are these fools thinking????????— July 7, 2013 12:19 a.m.

Whatever, it was scary as hell looking and he is a nut..... I just watched Evel's LAS TWO jumps, at Caesars Palace and then the last one in England, he was lucky he was not killed in either of those last 2 jumps......— July 6, 2013 10:02 a.m.

Tyree Davon Pasachall would not last 2 seconds with me for killing that innocent dog........— July 6, 2013 10:01 a.m.
Ryan Leaf could serve his Texas term in Montana
Funny you should mention Evel, as just 3 days ago I was telling a friend about his son Robbie jumping the Grand Canyon on his Harley, his son is even crazier than Evil; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT4omt51CtQ— July 5, 2013 8:25 p.m.
