Oceanside comes down hard on plastic
Most Americans care about the environment. Most Americans (80%) are also moderate or conservative, and we're sick of liberals trying to micromanage and control the narrative by pushing their liberal views on the rest of us. If I want to use a straw, buy salad in a plastic container, etc. and they don't like it... that's their problem. It's a free country, and liberalism is all about control.— August 28, 2021 5:12 p.m.
Murder brings down price of some San Diego homes
True crime 101. A fascinating read indeed! And a reminder to never live in a home where someone was murdered. Ghosts at the dinner table is not my style.— August 18, 2021 4:58 p.m.
Vista loosens regs on medical pot
I wouldn't want a dispensary in my neighborhood either. Anything drug related is nothing but trouble. And for those who say "tax dollars." There are consequences.— August 18, 2021 4:42 p.m.
Truck spills in Mira Mesa and Rosarito
Goodness... I'm glad no one was hurt. Maybe they shouldn't overload the truck.— August 10, 2021 9:45 p.m.
Goodbye, Columbus: this critic's first R rated film
Ali McGraw was at her best in this film. Perfectly cast. Her mother is Jewish.— August 10, 2021 5:48 p.m.
None
You have to understand satire to see the humor in this. I'm, a white woman (born that way) and a former cheerleader (Pop Warner, high school, college -- chosen lifestyle) and I think this satire is funny.— August 2, 2021 5:45 p.m.
Mom carried him into Escondido's Learning Jungle
This story breaks my heart. On a more positive note, congratulations Visduh.— August 1, 2021 12:36 p.m.
John Travolta oozes seductiveness in Saturday Night Fever
The general public didn't want to believe it because he was so good looking. Rock Hudson also seemed very likeable. In the movies anyway.. I really enjoyed all his movies.— July 22, 2021 7:52 p.m.
John Travolta oozes seductiveness in Saturday Night Fever
Saturday Night Fever was a great movie, but I never found John Travolta "seductive." Even as a kid it was abundantly clear he plays for the other team. And I'm not referring to any baseball rivalry...— July 18, 2021 10:08 p.m.
Krispy Kreme Triple Burger and fried Oreos find comfort at the San Diego County Fair
The San Diego County Fair is fun, but this food is a little too unhealthy for me. We have a "2/3" problem in America, and I'm more comfortable being a "minority." I like fruits and vegetables, and so does my waistline.— July 8, 2021 9:27 p.m.
