Lincoln High teacher sued for sex talk
I can't imagine. I think I would have to be in this position. All I can say (on behalf of all decent people, not just us ladies) is thank you Eric.— August 31, 2019 6:04 p.m.
Tales of a dead fixer and Gina Champion-Cain
"Dark money" should have to be disclosed, but it's allowed to be hidden because of loopholes in disclosure laws. Crack down on all white collar crimes, especially fraud. No more country club prisons.— August 31, 2019 1:23 p.m.
Kaiser to face largest strike anywhere in 20 years
I prefer private pay, but Kaiser is getting better, and they provide excellent care for my elderly mom. As long as my mom is happy. Private pay is more expensive, and I rarely use my medical coverage - but I don't mind paying more. When it comes to my health, I want the best we can afford. Medical costs have skyrocketed!— August 30, 2019 10:24 p.m.
Lincoln High teacher sued for sex talk
I agree with kudos to the Reader for exposing this. My heart goes out to this young lady. What a horrible ordeal. Needless to say, he shouldn't be teaching. He should be in jail.— August 28, 2019 6:10 p.m.
Oceanside cop overtime puts city on the line
Dear Ken - I was referring to Alex as the "over analyzer." He was criticizing your article, and I didn't feel that way. Perhaps I wasn't very clear. I didn't hit reply to his comment because I don't like "online arguments." I prefer getting along. All opinions should be respected. Thanks for your comment.— August 27, 2019 11:18 p.m.
Oceanside cop overtime puts city on the line
I'm not a journalist, but I've always thought the point of any article is to advise the general public as to what's going on. Why do people over analyze? I just read the article, and take it for what it's worth. To each his own.— August 27, 2019 5:53 p.m.
Could Burning Man come to In-Ko-Pah?
It would make more sense to lower the price if something isn't selling, but what the heck do I know. Has the "value" increased that much?— August 27, 2019 1:12 p.m.
The problem with San Diego's historic neighborhoods
I skimmed through the article as well as the comments. Interesting read.— August 25, 2019 7:50 p.m.
How’s the San Diego beer industry doing? It depends who you ask
Business is business. It's tough out there.— August 25, 2019 5:09 p.m.
San Diego State – an elite school
With all due respect, I think you have a different definition of "elite." Elite - "A group or class of people seen as having the greatest power and influence within a society, especially because of their wealth and privilege." Private schools are elite because of wealthy families. UC schools are elite (academically) because they accept the "cream of the crop" when it comes to academics. There is NOTHING elite regarding SDSU. They receive A LOT of applications. Nothing more, nothing less. San Diego is a very large, beautiful city! Lastly, please keep in mind a lot of students will apply anywhere. Not every college student wants to go to college (parental pressure). Some of them have no idea what they want to study. SDSU is an average school. 30-35% is "average."— August 23, 2019 11:08 p.m.
