Will a $46,000 federally funded COVID-19 drone fly in El Cajon?
It's harmless. Police departments, and most fire departments are paramilitary organizations.— May 25, 2020 1:38 a.m.
Palomar College pours money into Rancho Bernardo campus
This is a well-written article by Mr. Leighton. He's deeply rooted in his community, and a veteran journalist. The comparison to Voice of San Diego article is unfair. The author is a young reporter, and she's writing about her own community. It skews the equation, and should be taken into consideration.— May 23, 2020 3:18 p.m.
Will a $46,000 federally funded COVID-19 drone fly in El Cajon?
Drones are an invasion of privacy. We're all entitled to a reasonable expectation of privacy. Will drones be able to maneuver through the Fourth Amendment's doctrinal loopholes?— May 22, 2020 8:30 p.m.
Behind the swastikas in Santee
It's sad that people like this exist. Hate mongers are everywhere. I don't agree with "he's not a racist" but I definitely agree that he's an attention seeker.— May 22, 2020 5:38 p.m.
Jacinda Ardern’s no-touch greeting craze hits San Diego
Cool block party. Keeping it positive. Have a drink on me...— May 22, 2020 11:23 a.m.
Palomar College pours money into Rancho Bernardo campus
I attended elementary, junior high and high school in portables (without air-conditioning) too. It was no big deal.— May 20, 2020 9:21 a.m.
Palomar College pours money into Rancho Bernardo campus
A motivated student will take academics seriously in any building. As long as the portables are air-conditioned and well kept. A college-bound community will always have a nicer building. I hope the Latino and Native American community excel academically.— May 19, 2020 9:59 p.m.

Thanks for sharing. Tell him I said hi. Have a nice day!— May 19, 2020 4:18 p.m.
Will the real Gavin Newsom please stand up?
Will the real Gavin Newsom please continue to reopen the state of California. I'm not a Trump supporter, but 30 - 60 days in the hole.... enough is enough. The stats don't warrant tyrannical government control. You're a micromanaging control freak. You closed down the parks because people were surfing. I thought walking in the park was one of the few things we're allowed to do. If you don't know a horse, look at its track record...— May 17, 2020 10:44 a.m.
UCSD admissions not entirely clean
I will never understand the mindset of any parent who tries to "buy their way into college." It's fraud, and to the detriment of your child. While other students compete academically, your child will fail or drop out. I was a cheerleader at UCLA. I'm sure other students thought we were "Special Talent Admissions" and we had less academic requirements than the athletes. Especially when some of us went on to grad school. Admissions wasn't interested in my "cheerleading resume" nor did they care that I ran for homecoming queen in high school. I went with community service, student government, etc. Faculty members are pressured into passing certain students. Athletes (athletic dept.) and children of wealthy donors. I think it's more common at elite private universities. There's "legacy admissions" and the "dean's interest list." Relatives of wealthy donors. Ties to a university... mom and dad attended, and so did grandma and grandpa are more credible.— May 16, 2020 9:40 a.m.
