The Eagles -- 03/03/23 at Pechanga Arena San Diego
I like the Eagles, but it does seem odd to be on Medicare and still rocking. A lot of old rock bands do it. More power to them, but I won't pay to see what I saw in the 70s when the bands and the concert goes were very young.— November 12, 2022 4:18 p.m.
Duncan Shepherd weighs pros and cons of videos
Duncan Shepherd was a great film critic! I miss his extreme passion for movies.— October 22, 2022 9:48 a.m.
JCPenney, Macy’s, Marshalls, TJ Maxx push back against thieves
Shoplifting has always been a serious problem. Prop 47 made it a lot worse. Why anyone voted for this is beyond me. Repeal Prop 47.— October 11, 2022 3:29 p.m.
Wannabe cop pulls over seven North County drivers
This guy is scary. If seven out of nine victims were male, he's an equal opportunity offender. A danger to the community is an understatement. I hope he gets the help he needs, and I hope and pray that no one else is victimized.— October 4, 2022 12:42 p.m.
Cub reporter for L.A. Times gets Page One break with PSA crash story
I appreciate this story too. It's a well-written article. This was a horrific crash, and to nit-pick the way the article was written is absurd. Some people aren't happy unless they have something to be unhappy about. What a miserable way to live. I hope you find happiness within.— September 25, 2022 9:12 p.m.
To dream in the dark: Scott Marks says, “That’s all, folks!”
Simone Signoret was in her 50s at the time. She gained a lot of weight for the roll and was made to appear 10 years older. Her wrinkles were accented, etc. This was Hollywood, not real life. Actors and actresses are used to this. If not, they're in the wrong business.— September 1, 2022 8:44 p.m.
A cop’s eye view of the January 9 encounter with Antifa
The far-left and the far-right are equally pathetic. Extremists are a threat to democracy.— August 25, 2022 9:10 a.m.
Ken Harrison R.I.P.
I enjoyed his articles. Rest in Peace Mr. Harrison.— August 15, 2022 5:16 p.m.
Going full grammar-guy on public radio
I don't listen to KPBS. I like grammatical correctness myself, and I can see why some listeners are annoyed. Maybe the way it's said sounds smoother, and it rolls off the tongue easier. I believe they're well aware of it.— August 3, 2022 9:47 p.m.
Chris Rodriguez bows out of Oceanside politics
The Oceanside City Council, as well as the residents of Oceanside are better off without Rodriguez. He's well-accomplished despite his upbringing, but he's a troubled man. I'm surprised he was ever elected. City Council members (in every city) should have their act together. It's a pre-requisite for taking care of business.— July 25, 2022 1:20 p.m.
