An Average Day
A very engaging post. I don't drive at all either. Haven't since I moved here six-plus years ago. I'm perfectly happy taking the MTS, even if the MTS, for all intents and purposes, sucks. I am like you; I notice much about folks. I try not to. Best to you and this blog-- thepiertoforever.blogspot.com— November 24, 2008 6:58 p.m.

An interesting post! As a sixteenth-year tai chi practitioner, I can say that the art of tai chi, the philosophy of tai chi, the values it upholds, are those that must be lived to be appreciated. But who would choose to live them? Very, very few, in my experience. Novices aren't interested in values. They are interested only in the novel, and, as uncommitted novices, only in pretending to uphold those values. And so it goes. And that's a good thing. Here in Imperial Beach, the progressives, like me, are scared witless to show our faces. Hopefully that'll change soon. I'm certainly working at making it so. Best-- thepiertoforever.blogspot.com— November 18, 2008 12:12 p.m.

Yeah, that sounds pretty psycho. I've only visited your neck of the woods a handful of times. Interesting ... Best-- thepiertoforever.blogspot.com— November 18, 2008 12:10 p.m.
That Holiday Was Just Another Turkey
My best to you. It sounds as if you've had a tough go of it. My very best to your son as well. God willing, the fires v3.0 up in LA are on their way out. What a nightmare. I'm looking forward to a quiet, wet, peaceful Christmas. :--) thepiertoforever.blogspot.com— November 18, 2008 12:04 a.m.
Slums of Del Mar Hills
Very true. Imperial Beach isn't much better. Lots of crazies here. Lots of apathy. People watch each others' backs--provided their skin color is the correct hue and their religion is fundamentalist Christian.Oh, well. Best to you and your blog. thepiertoforever.blogspot.com— November 17, 2008 11:10 p.m.
