The Doorman
That Doc Tom in Gibney's "Totally Under Control" is a Corporate Dem, formerly of the Obama Admin and practically a paid employee of the PBS News Hour since they've had him so many times on.— October 15, 2020 5:47 p.m.
Gloria Steinem biopic questions her past and future
Over the top, much, Scotty??? No, thanks!!! You can keep your Steniem propaganda. I'll stick to Camile Paglia. By the way, just came back from "The Birds" at Town Sq. I was the only one. Very sad, indeed. Why do we Americans always fear the wrong things???— October 12, 2020 10:45 p.m.
Reading Cinemas and AMC Theaters to open tonight
Really, Mr. Marks!!! Are you THAT scared??? Do you have an underlying condition??? In which case, I understand. Yeah, well, I've BEEN goind to the Drive-In, but too many distractions and i only went once in July. In early August they reopened the movie theater chain Cinepolis in Tijuana and right away I went to see "2001" for my umpteenth time. Limited seating, hand sanitizer and facemask required. They showed classics for the first three weeks along with some minor debuts. The week after they had "Casablanca" followed by the "The Exorcist." ONLY five people including myself at 2001 and "The Exorcist." At the end of August, i went to see a new Mexican film, "Amores Modernos". Not very good, but "The Personal History of David Copperfield" was even worse!!! (Acomando likes it, LOL) That I saw by MYSELF at the Regal 16 theater. Then I went to see "Tenet" at AMC Plaza Bonita. Well just today I saw a lot of cars at AMC Otay Ranch. You'd think there would be more Gavin Grusome fanboy and girls in that area, but I guess I was wrong!!! It doesn't feel the same though, but hey, at least they are showing them now. Dude, you're NOT going to catch the cooties by sitting in a movie theater seat!!! C'mon!!! When people turn away from common sense, that's when things really become dangerous. But yeah, TV is better than streaming!!! It's the big screen or not at all, Van Thilo!!!— September 18, 2020 11:02 p.m.
Claude Sautet: melodramatic throwback
You forget Preminger's "The Cardinal" -- and I didn't even have to look it up. LOL From what I recall, a better actress than her contemporary, Anna Karina. See you at the drive-in!!!— June 12, 2020 4:06 p.m.
Doja Cat -- 08/10/21 at Pechanga Arena San Diego
Oh, yeah!!! She will be smoldering.— June 12, 2020 4:02 p.m.
RIP Kenny Rogers, Barona Casino songsmith
I was never a fan but "Ruby" is such a classic. Love the way it tells a story. It could have even been made into a feature film.— March 23, 2020 9:46 p.m.
Behind T.J's black market for cars
Ponzi Scheme, you might be interested to know that in South Carolina, stops signs and traffic lights are often IGNORED. Even where they have cameras (working or not), the drivers are NEVER billed a ticket. Pot kettle black, Ponzi Scheme.— March 12, 2020 2:38 p.m.
