To Stella from Mica: Tales of Beyond the Front Door
Ok, but I'm wondering what the function of the Reader "upload" operation might be, if all it does is create that little red x? Do you see it between the first and second paragraphs? I notice that Jay Allen's columns make abundant use of this kind of thing, but can't recall seeing a Reader blogger's blog with photos embedded in the text--just links... So I will try the Photobucket option--thanks for all the advice, Cuddle! ;)— February 24, 2010 8:01 p.m.
To Stella from Mica: Tales of Beyond the Front Door
Well, I just tried to upload a photo on the Reader site, but just like the last time I tried this, you get only a small red x and the word "image." As fond as I am of signage and of minimalism, this won't do. If I load to this Photobucket, which I notice everyone using, does it provide just a link within the text to a photo, like I see in everyone's comments, or will the photo actually show up, right there between paragraphs?— February 24, 2010 7:10 p.m.

CF, do you know how to add a picture within the text area? And: A blog forthcoming on Mica's new love interest. He's secretive, tapping it out now...;)— February 24, 2010 6:26 p.m.
Girl Talk
I have to agree that it sucks you have to 'scrub' your writing, Barb. Your opinions on sexual role play as a 'femme domme' are doubtless informed, fascinating, and if they happen to be controversial, all the better. I'd bet that most of your regular readers would appreciate the deeper perspectives ;)— February 24, 2010 5:43 p.m.
Sequenom Stock Soars on Fetal Sex Test
And where is SurfPuppy, who must be a connoisseur of bird fare? Off chasing a double-breasted mattress thrasher?— February 24, 2010 3:50 p.m.
Sequenom Stock Soars on Fetal Sex Test
Duhbya stole my only contribution with Kingfisher, so... My vote? Goes to: Mozart's Cosi fan Tuftedtitmouse! re: #41: Old Cro--, as in "Cromagnon," in keeping with my Paleopuntastic pitch for an opera. Mr. Bauder, Ho no, old Cro! I do have Crone's (really, Crohn's) disease. While happily, it does not age me overly, it allows me to hang out at home and on the Reader site, far more than the doctor would prescribe. Now don't: Crow me a river, Cause I crowed a river fuh yooooou ;)— February 24, 2010 3:48 p.m.

Jane, ignore the peanut gallery insults--especially the porcine one, geez!-- though the constructive criticism does lie under the mire: More off the wall questions would be appropriate for this column, many of which used to go blank and uncommented week after week anyway. So in good spirits and goodwill, I will answer this week's: What I do to relax: Take multiple nerve-numbing agents combined with large doses of stimulants. This just about creates the mood gawd should have provided me; now mellow yet still inquisitive, I am able to wade through the hypocrisy and peevishness of other Reader posters, and write earth-shatteringly touching blogs about cats. ;)— February 24, 2010 3:38 p.m.

You two rarely if ever answered these questions when Board did them, so what gives with the grief for Jane?!— February 24, 2010 3:32 p.m.
Lacanian TV AD: Petit Hommage to the “Wicked Costly” Installment of NHTBW by FullFlavorPike
Well, nan, it looks like my well-placed comment to Origami got us Adam back. Let's see if we get Pikester too--and to celebrate, we'll have a 'pun-off' ;)— February 24, 2010 3:55 a.m.
