Update: Beautiful Jessie has come home! And: What we learned about lost/found animals
TODAY? I can't possibly come in today at 3:00. I WORK!!! You should learn to spell "bureaucracy," cause that's what you are! And now I can't SIIIIIGGGGNNN!!!!!!!— March 20, 2010 11:18 p.m.

re: #65,66: My sympathies with both of you. A pox on mean people and bureaucractic bulls***. Screaming at someone whose fault it may not be is not acceptable. That said: And now I can't SIIIIIGGGGNNN!!!!!!! ;)— March 20, 2010 2:15 p.m.

Hobnobbing at the Hob Nob
True, xian, and you are yourself truly an inspiration, with all of the work you do to help others suffering from that very disease. What I am hoping for John is that he will one day accept the help he needs--this has been said here many times, so I feel ok repeating it. What I am hoping for the TGIF comment sections is that if we have information, we circulate it privately--not here. John has been pretty clear on the fact that he would like to be the one to reveal details of his life in his writing--when he deems appropriate--and he has been nothing if not very generous in that regard. I say we show appreciation for him by exercising some discretion, and continue to allow him to control what reaches the public about his life. He would be grateful for that, and it's the least we can do...— March 20, 2010 1:38 p.m.

Wow! That tree looks pretty well trimmed, and so does the guy. "Drinks? Did you say drinks? When? We really must do this." Meetcha on email for details. Good for you re: ditching the job! Get yourself a bottle of decent wine and some chocolate, or a variety of decadent cheeses and crusty baguette (Bread & Cie), and watch the "Office Space," which you haven't seen in a very long time. ;)— March 19, 2010 11:19 p.m.
More Growing Up Gilroy
Hmmm, lessee here what Grantie's bin digging up in others' spare time: "Nicole "Snooki" 21 - Marlboro, NY Nicole is looking to meet the man of her dreams. When she goes to the gym, she goes in full makeup, hoping to make a splash with all the toned men. Her height has been as much of a strength as it has been an obstacle, and it will color her summer at the Shore in a big way. Mike "The Situation" 27 - Staten Island, NY Mike may have a sensitive side, but he has plenty of game to go with it. He knows what he wants from his summer at the Jersey Shore and is not going to let anything stop him from getting it--even his roommates. The way he sees it, he has the situation under control." Okayyyy. A guy whose nick is "The Situation." And he knows exactly what he wants from his summer at the Jersey shore. It's a damn good thing he does, because none of the rest of us do! As for "Snooki:" "Her height has been as much of a strength as it has been an obstacle." I recognized her face--and hair, which is what this quotation must be about. Saw her on The Soup, formerly called Talk Soup. So there's my confession, Grant. ;)— March 19, 2010 10:52 p.m.

Grant, I remember when you made the prelim decision to leave, and gave them your notice. Now you are truly, truly free? Congrats! We are going to have to have that drink sooner rather than later to celebrate, girl!— March 19, 2010 2:44 p.m.
