Regarding your question; "Did the NA’ers and the DEA stop bothering those who chose to use marijuana?" The DEA was de-funded by Congress - over a year ago - from spending ANY money from the federal budget on 'medical' marijuana cases - and recently upheld in a couple of federal cases where the DEA ignored the de-funding order. The mmj fight is over for the DEA - they totally lost the funds to fight and now federal judges are dropping the cases.— December 3, 2015 8:20 a.m.

Regarding the tunnels... they were actually "provided" to the DEA in exchange for some cartel member's freedom from Federal lockup... They were NOT "discovered" by law enforcement. Rumor has it (on good authority) that the same cartel members arranged for the tunnels to be built just so that they could give them up for their freedom... Regarding medical marijuana. Science, not the DEA, has ultimately won the medical marijuana debate, the only real question is whether or not you choose to believe scientific facts. Now good'ol fashioned American capitalism has taken over the fight... are you really that surprised - or confused? BTW, did you know that most people who use marijuana - don't drink to excess (and stop drinking excessively)? Name NOT withheld...— December 3, 2015 8:12 a.m.
Medical Marijuana aka Smoke Shop 25 feet from Charter School?
None of dispensaries that have been targeted by local and federal law enforcement have discovered anything other than state-legal medical patients collectively cultivating cannabis. Insinuations of "who knows what else is sold there" is nothing short of fear mongering. Barrio kids would be best served by providing the truth through science, rather than an uneducated blogger's version of reefer madness. Thank you to all the brave local collectives who provide safe access to the sick and dying despite this type denialism of the human endocannabinoid system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endocannabinoid_syst… http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/jul/2…— July 26, 2013 11:24 a.m.
