Five wild parrots killed with pellet gun in Point Loma
Parrots are noisy, that's likely the motive, they are noisiest when they nest at Sunrise and Sunset. Likely someone lives near their nest, and hates to wake up when they do. They don't nest very near the ground, so shooting them would likely take repeated shots, they aren't large. Shooting them on the wing would be nearly impossible. Find their communal nest, near where they've shot, I've seen them in untrimmed palm trees. if that's where they are, they could only be shot when they return from foraging, because the nest is well hidden. Keep your eyes open bird lovers, we'll catch this killer.— April 6, 2016 6:18 p.m.
Chargers release so-called financing plan
The Chargers have a history of finding reasons to tear up leases, they have never stayed to the end of the lease. We could have StadiumCon, a wart in Mission Valley, and no Chargers.— March 31, 2016 8:45 a.m.
Chargers release so-called financing plan
Keep an eye on the Mission Valley land, the value there is comparable to the Con-Stadium price. If they can play it like they're selling to SDSU, people might approve the sale. A downtown stadium will end tailgating, and the Con-Stadium might well be inferior to our present Stadium in many ways.— March 30, 2016 3:14 p.m.
Dean Spanos's new hired hand
The Chargers want the Stadium land, the Sports Arena land, and will likely condemn Downtown land as well. They have announced this at various times. The City has little money on hand, but has thousands of acres of valuable real estate.— February 10, 2016 4:54 p.m.
Dean Spanos's new hired hand
From the beginning, the Chargers never needed a new stadium. They want to pull a real estate con. For that, they have hired a real estate con man with experience defrauding the City, and condemning private property at ripoff prices.— February 9, 2016 10:10 p.m.
How about the San Antonio Chargers?
Real estate is the real reason for these stadium scams. In the case of the Chargers, they never explain the problems the new Stadium is meant to fix, except a bigger TV set, and exclusive party rooms for billionaires, so they won't have to mix with the millionaires. They do mention the gigantic condo complex intended for the Stadium land.— January 22, 2016 11:15 p.m.
It's not over. Chargers given time to woo San Diego
There are multiple schemes on the Stadium land. Michael Zuchet recently placed an article in the UT claiming that the Charger's exit was an opportunity for the the City to pull a Liberty Station, or Embarcadero type development. These examples seem like pure fraud to me. John Moores now discusses an MLS team. That name means crooked development to me.— January 15, 2016 9:42 a.m.
It's not over. Chargers given time to woo San Diego
Nothing the Chargers do will stop the crooked scheming on the Stadium site. Keep your eyes open.— January 13, 2016 10:31 p.m.
Fabiani has a laugh
The sketched development looks absurd, but the plan is to steamroller legalities through a ballot measure that would make new law, passed through an election with even less voters than Faulkner's anointing. Trouble is, their plan looks worse than the Charger plan that was laughed out of town, all the way to Oceanside.— August 12, 2015 1:51 a.m.
Fabiani has a laugh
The drawings of the proposed monstrosity prove what I've been writing here all along, this whole game of Three Card Monte is about stealing City parkland for cheesy condos. The Chargers might be interested, they proposed something similar years ago, but that proposal left Spanos in possession of the condos. Since other developers would get the plunder under this scam, it's a non starter with the Chargers.— August 11, 2015 12:25 p.m.
