UT-TV goes dark on cable
She has a handicap, incomplete hands, no one noticed thanks to stagecraft. She's a heroine in my book.— February 22, 2014 7:17 p.m.
UT-TV goes dark on cable
Sometimes I'm forced to defend Doug Manchester, and Goebbels . Manchester is goofy and greedy, but not a hateful Nazi. Goebbels was a media genius, Manchester has no known talent for media, as the collapse of the UT proves.— February 22, 2014 7 p.m.
UT-TV goes dark on cable
Let's be clear, I wasn't attacking prostitutes or dancers. And no one is more human than they are. I defend them as people, even though I don't enjoy or recommend their services.— February 22, 2014 6:44 p.m.
For sale: Tony McCune's yacht at reduced price
Never use your real name when committing crime. Funny how big shots don't know this. The girls know.— February 22, 2014 6:32 p.m.
UT-TV goes dark on cable
Some report that Hearst loved Citizen Kane, and regularly showed it in his private theater.— February 20, 2014 2:11 p.m.
UT-TV goes dark on cable
The suggestion that newsroom readers might start a career as a dancer or prostitute endangers lives. These ladies plainly don't have street smarts for either of these businesses, or they wouldn't disgrace themselves reading Lynch's copy. Certainly they would make more money if they could hustle, but stupidity is dangerous on the street, so they disgrace themselves in front of the whole town for five figures. Sad but safe.— February 20, 2014 2 p.m.
Filner accuser McCormack Jackson to get $250K
Irene McCormack Jackson will forever be known for her fury, and what she destroyed. She obviously is an untalented writer and public speaker. I will always remember the hateful look in her eyes as she said, "He shook me like a rag doll.". I wish someone would ask her if she went limp in his arms, and became his plaything, or what the hell she meant, because Filner doesn't seem powerful enough for a ripped bodice novel move like that. Her story was just silly sometimes. Perhaps I'm too harsh on her writing skills, she has talent at fiction.— February 15, 2014 2:59 a.m.
Filner accuser McCormack Jackson to get $250K
Filner kept his clothes on, so far as we know, with all his accusers.— February 15, 2014 1:56 a.m.
Filner accuser McCormack Jackson to get $250K
The timing of the press conference, election day, reveals so much. IMJ seems to want the developers back in power. She may reap her real financial reward with her next job, we will see. We'll never know the full story.— February 12, 2014 12:42 p.m.
Filner accuser McCormack Jackson to get $250K
Deposing witnesses would likely cost more than the 250K settled for, and both sides might not want to be under oath. This seems like a good settlement for Filner and the City, and a mediocre termination settlement for McCormack-Jackson. But if everything she alleges is true, the real damages might not be so much. Fact is, repulsive behavior by supervisors is not unusual.— February 12, 2014 12:52 a.m.
