Ben Hueso paws greased by payroll loan company
So has DUI Ben Hueso laid off the tequila? Lorena Gonzalez and all her "Latino homies" as she lifted a glass of alcohol to on her twitter page the night Hueso was wasto and was arrested. Their clan of extreme liberals have been and will continue to ruin the quality of life in California. They have their own agenda and constituency and they don't care about the other 60%. The 60% that pay the taxes while the 40% work the system these "representatives" have laid before them to abuse.— October 2, 2019 11:02 p.m.
Miramar Gun Club buddies teach me to shoot
Replying to stories published 33 years ago is the ultimate illustration of someone with more time on their hands than they know what to do with.— September 22, 2019 11:24 p.m.

No-name no-bid contract cost San Diego millions, city auditor charges
The city insiders "wired the contract" so that only one vendor would be selected. The city bureaucracy is not staffed with engineers that are talented (or industrious) enough to develop their own RFP so they let their preferred vendor rig it (write it).— September 15, 2019 4:15 p.m.
Lido’s Italian Foods are too classic to be pretty
One reason they have survived is they own the dirt. No landlord to raise their rent.— September 11, 2019 3:52 p.m.
Tales of a dead fixer and Gina Champion-Cain
Scam Diego, the gift that keeps on giving (or taking). Why does it take a generation for people to forget that "if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't." 25% annual return? Anyone that believed that deserved to lose their investment. The fun part of this story is who the big whale was? A single investor putting more than $100 million in her?— September 4, 2019 9:14 p.m.

Oh come on ceehound619, you've had 29 years to read it!— September 3, 2019 3:14 p.m.
North Park storefronts take on Faulconer and Ward
I guess the 1% does control things. The 1% of people who ride bikes to work and to shop.— August 28, 2019 8:16 a.m.
Could Burning Man come to In-Ko-Pah?
Wow! The asking price went up by $1 million. There was a SDUT story in November 2017 about the tower and property for sale at $1.25 million. I guess when things don't sell, double the price.— August 27, 2019 11:54 a.m.
Alpha Project, Bread of Life, Solutions for Change – incomparable?
This story is an eye opener about homelessness. As AlexClarke knows, it's mostly drug addicts. we call them "homeless" (which is a symptom caused by behavior) because it evokes sympathy... when the reality is they are homeless because of personal choices like using drugs and becoming addicted to those drugs. If you call them what they are :drug addicts" then there is a lot less sympathy. Shelters and food offerings are not the solutions, treatment and incarceration (when treatment is refused) is the only way to fix "homelessness."
