Doobie Row
Great coverage, Dorian. An interesting state of affairs when a resident prefers the bar crowd to the dispensary crowd. How many medical reef smokers do ya figure Badrak encounters stumbling out of the clubs, pissing on storefronts, and yelling into the night?— February 20, 2010 8:16 p.m.
Sweetwater River Bridge, 1929
Lots of old memories at this place.— February 17, 2010 12:14 p.m.
Succinctly And Not Entirely Unfairly

Deep Blue Sea
For the guide - Turk: An East County variety of the Yah Dude found in the Rancho San Diego, Jamul, El Cajon, and Santee regions. Rides dirt bikes and has and/or had a coke problem. Aggressive when drinking. Will spend all night telling you what a great Bro you and then pork your girlfriend the moment you go for another beer. Think American foreign policy anthropomorphized wearing a sideways bright red Fox racing hat.— November 27, 2009 1:15 a.m.
It's Better To Burn Out Than It Is To Fade
Stunning analysis, PikeSlice. Even now, a series of Kinkade paintings and snowglobes garnish my mother's living room, adorably leering in truer-than-life pastels. Gid yip.— November 27, 2009 12:09 a.m.
Bonus Blog: Adam Lambert on the AMAs
Just yesterday I was accosted on the streets of Hillcrest by a gaggle of high school girls who said my fedora was "hot" and "like Adam Lambert's". I asked who Adam Lambert was and they said that made the hat even hotter, not TRYING to be like Adam Lambert. Now, as much as I appreciate being accosted by groups of girls anywhere outside of TJ, the encounter had left me shaken. Who was this Lambert character and where the hell did he get my hat before I did? This harsh adolescent slap from the cold palm of reality has forced me to confront my all-encompassing ignorance of popular culture. I'm about to go to google.com and type the words "Adam Lambert" in the query box. I already know what will happen. It will be like the time, not long ago, when all my sister talked about was "Twilight" and for some reason the only image I could summon to mind was that of a Turkish hash dealer I once met in Golden Gate Park. I felt old, disconnected, over the hill. So, Adam Lambert, here I come. I want my effin hat back.— November 25, 2009 5:11 p.m.
The Slightly Hodge-Podge Composition
I getting some strange vibes from the Aleisters of this world, but they may be a defunct bunch, like the Moriartys, as for as I can tell. Stay tuned.— November 25, 2009 4:52 p.m.
South Park Cat Tales: My Wherabouts & a Small Favor (#6)
Yo Stella, I know we've only kicked it once or twice but I think you're on to something good. Keep an eye on that shifty Two Legs! :-) - Numero Dos— November 25, 2009 4:37 p.m.
The Swift Justice Of Cosmetology
I didn't have the patience to read all the comments so I hope I'm not interrupting anything monumental in order to say "hi" and "sweet blog, i see what you mean about the batman thing now" and "stinky pinky for a mothers refute of an offspring". - Number Two— November 23, 2009 10:49 p.m.
