Massive
One of the first all dubstep shows was Dubstep 101 at the Honey Bee Hive (now Hive Sushi) thrown by Eric Yo in March 2007. The following month the venue hosted Burn, bringing in DJs from L.A. dubstep crew Smog with about 270 people in attendance. You can catch some dubstep and drum and bass at Ruby Room’s monthly SD Union night, which will have it's third installment August 21 with Headshake, DJ Fracture, and Maximum Moves. -Chad— July 28, 2010 2:50 p.m.
How San Diego hospitals bend will reduce charges on your bill
"...the hospital settled for $17,000 (6.8 percent of the original bill)..." If you are privy to "real numbers" or any relevant information, I would be interested to hear about it.— July 12, 2010 9:19 p.m.
Here's the Deal: El Camino
Noticed that... Love the expression. What wave? What vibe? Also, the Colombian greeting, "Que mas?"— June 17, 2010 11:37 a.m.
Farmer Seth
Seth - Just wanted to thank you again for seeking me out for an interview after "politely but adamantly" declining comment a few days prior. I see Rosemary isn't convinced about the farm tale (http://www.sddialedin.com/2010/06/newsy-stuffs.ht…), and your ominous use of sadtrombone.com both here and on SDGossipScene (http://www.sdgossipscene.com/gossip/back-to-the-o…) suggests strangeness at the least. As I mentioned when we talked, I've done a good share of organic farming over the years and love it. If all you'll be planting is weird disinformation, hey, that's up to you. But I'd like to believe you've got a bigger vision than that. -Chad— June 4, 2010 6:32 p.m.
Here's the Deal: Anthology
One wonders, indeed! Speaking of cage fighters, dig this bizarre atrocity from my old neck of the woods (literally): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article… Really?!— June 2, 2010 4:21 a.m.
Pie's the Limit
I'll pass on the message and with any luck you'll have an absinthe inspired response from Stella in no time.— May 20, 2010 6:27 p.m.
I Messed With Texas
Woah, where have I been? SD, never worked for the Onion or A.V. Club, but love what they do and started a blog semi-inspired by their satirical news here: http://helladeepbackground.wordpress.com/ For better or worse, I never got around to popping the question to Lety again. Austin is a really unique city and I look forward to getting back there someday. Enrique, keen eye dude! You should totally be a writer!— May 1, 2010 7:46 p.m.
Begged for His Life
Bogart that joint, my friend.— April 23, 2010 4:51 p.m.
Groovy Eugene, Oregon
Newport hasn't proven as engaging. However, had a blast in Bend, Ashland, Astoria, Bandon, and Portland!— April 23, 2010 4:50 p.m.
Volume Two
"Somewhere an angel lost its wings." Too funny. But awesome harp licks. How could one forget? Zero 7: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5Q5HEtyYQg Caught 'em at HoB with Phantogram in January. Not so stoked on their new vocalist, but Sia and Tina Dico are out of this world.— April 21, 2010 1:13 p.m.
