G.I. Joe needs a job
There is the side that military have a real problem psychologically, and this may not help their employment, nor their use as an employee. Sorry. Dr. John Kitchin, Psychologist.— October 10, 2013 10:45 p.m.
Cops naysay downtown opening of Phantom Lounge
You need to have a lawyer own it, and pay the police protection money. Everybody knows that!— October 10, 2013 10:42 p.m.
Fire fought on hill in Santee
Perhaps the same arsonist who lit 3 El Cajon homeless camps on fire earlier?— October 7, 2013 3:35 p.m.
Suspects sought in open space pot grows
Marijana, a plant that produces its own insecticide and sunscreen, is often used for medicinal purposes. I give a truthful analysis at www.NZ9F.com/Drugs.— October 7, 2013 9:49 a.m.
Tijuana, graveyard of the godforsaken gringos
David, are you the author? Best cover piece in Reader history. Some in this thread are treating it as NEWS, which the author usually writes, but it is not. It is Local Color, or Human Interest, and as such is not supposed to be accurate. As a NEWS story it has a lot of problems, such as the time line compression as you have indicated. It also has lots of opinions of the author, which is only acceptable in an editorial. I could go on, but need to reemphasize that it is an excellent article and entertaining. I have different opinions than most of what it says, but my story would be boring.— October 7, 2013 9:42 a.m.
Political committee formed to fight new state law protecting transgender students
I was prohibited in Wisconsin, in the 1960s, from taking a Home Economics course in high school, because of being male. I am hetero, but like to cook and bake, hence, training in same. No dice. Law against that, as it may permit either homosexuality or bachelors, and neither generates billions upon billions of babies, good for real estate and inflated food prices. The good part is that I found Milwaukee Free University, which disobeyed the law and taught me lots of great things, including baking. It still exists today, altho only on line. I taught there (chess, brewing beer, psychology) and today own it.— October 6, 2013 8:50 p.m.
Spring Valley man fights police officers, loses
The police need to worry that the Reader stringers may tell the complete truth, rather than the Union-Tribune method of "According to Authorities..." I have frequently been sent to jail just for telling the truth.— October 6, 2013 8:45 p.m.
Sex scandals that preceded Bob Filner
So true.— October 6, 2013 8:36 p.m.
Sex scandals that preceded Bob Filner
Excellent article, and gets to the point, but San Diego is equally as horny as Washington, and I would like to be more specific, but one does not kiss and tell.— October 6, 2013 8:33 p.m.
San Diego overlords and unions — who can stop them?
Not quite familiar with how this works, but I said: Very fine article, and underscores why David Alvarez would make a terrible Mayor, although better than any of the other even more Mafia oriented candidates, except Mike Aguirre. I do not think Aguirre will win, so we will just have to recall whoever does. I already have recall papers with the name blank.— October 6, 2013 6:59 p.m.
