Todd Gloria wields the ax, firing most of Filner staff
Such informed and rational thinking does not fit with the Mafia and their television stations, so be careful about being targeted yourself!— September 1, 2013 1:24 p.m.
Todd Gloria wields the ax, firing most of Filner staff
We have to keep up our image as America's Stupidest City, of course. Those fired by Gloria should hang in there, until Marty Block, Lori Saldaña, or Mike Aguirre can re-hire them.— September 1, 2013 1:21 p.m.
Chargers and Weiners
So, who replaces Bob Filner as Mayor? Lori Saldana, or Marty Block? The other three seem to be the same guy with different labels on him (Carl DeMaio, Nathan Fletcher, and Todd Gloria), and Fletcher seems to change his label every month. What political party is he in this month, Socialist Lunatic Deputies of Jesus? Gloria is a Republican who claims to be a Democrat. **The voters decided to elect a Very Liberal Democrat, so let us find one to replace Filner!**— August 30, 2013 4:45 p.m.
Are you happy with Filner's resignation?
He did absolutely nothing wrong, at least as Mayor. Years ago in Washington he did sexually harrass a whole lot of people, and they are coming forward now. Everything else has been a lie and a distortion. Don Bauder discovered the wiretap the Mafia had on the Mayor's Office, but cannot "prove" it without getting his legs broken, of course. Same is standard procedure. The MOB will make something up, harass you and the public in the news media for weeks, bug your office, and then will hire paid witnesses who never met you, present fake evidence in court, rig the judge and jury, make a deal with your lawyer, and take you apart. All so their real estate grows in value more quickly.— August 30, 2013 4:39 p.m.

KGTV (News 8) McGraw-Hill (textbook publishing, Denver) is owned by conglomerates which are themselves owned by the Latter Day Saints, Salt Lake City. So is News 10, a part of Mormon-Disney-ABC Corporation. All back super-conservative Republican candidates, give discounts for the political ads of same which they do not give to Democrats (even those Democrats who are actually Republicans in disguise), and operate the San Diego Real Estate Mob, in conjunction with the Copley, Cox, and Jacobs families, which is the group of gangsters that targeted Mayor Filner and spent over a month telling outright lies on its television stations.— August 27, 2013 12:37 p.m.
El Cajon blackout goes on past schedule
Very good and thorough story. Thank you. (I edit one of the other newspapers, but also write and comment for the Reader.)— August 27, 2013 12:27 p.m.
Mackinac Island
Yes, and Escanaba in the UP has some Indian Casinos that rival Las Vegas, with everything legal. South of there, Door County, Wisconsin, has cherry orchards, thousands of yacht harbors, and tens of thousands of entertainment venues for the wealthy of Chicago. The hike to Tahquamenon Falls was spectacular, too. I ate Bing cherries, buried the seeds, and there are several sweet cherry trees growing today.— August 27, 2013 12:23 p.m.

Having taught brewing beer years ago when it was still a felony to brew your own, I am glad that micro-breweries are doing fine. Bacon does go good with beer, by the way, especially in a sandwich with avocado or guacamole. I like it with India Pale Ale (IPA) or Stout. As for the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, I still insist that this is a sandwich enjoyed in Paris!— August 27, 2013 12:19 p.m.
State Medical Board moves against two physicians
California is where you find physicians who lost their licenses in all the 49 other states. It has an emphasis on cost-reduction rather than quality. Hence, a Pediatrician working for $14 an hour.— August 27, 2013 12:14 p.m.
Poets cause trouble at U.S.-Mexican border fence
Unfortunately, in past years, piñatas and kites had been slipped thru the fence which contained cocaine, crack, and heroin.— August 27, 2013 12:08 p.m.
