Gunshots fired near Tijuana’s El Chaparral border crossing
Good story. I wrote one similar, but you beat me to it.— September 29, 2013 6:28 p.m.
AFSCME rolls for Alvarez; GOP spends for Faulconer
He and Don Bauder spoke of it on this website. Having had it done to me once, in exactly the same way, I not only believe it, but can absolutely prove it.— September 28, 2013 11:12 a.m.
GOP fat cats set to party hearty at Manchester resort this weekend
Makes me think about the one Thanksgiving when all I had to eat was a can of tuna. Chicken of the Sea? I called it Turkey of the Sea. These fat bastards get 40% of your rent check or house payment, just to run their Mafia enterprise. Get in their way, though, and you get found washed up on shore, dead.— September 28, 2013 11:08 a.m.
Minkow may face criminal charges related to his former church
Since the first thing you learn in the seminary is that no minister believes in God, heaven, or hell, all religion is, technically, fraud, which is why the skills to be a con-man or a minister are the same. The difference is that religion is generally done to try to improve lives (while making a profit) while other fraud only tries to make money, not improve society.— September 26, 2013 11:25 a.m.
AFSCME rolls for Alvarez; GOP spends for Faulconer
Mike Aguirre is the only current candidate for Mayor that has battled with the Real Estate Mob that convicted Mayor Filner in the news media, and has continued his anti-corruption campaign by limiting how much he will allow supporters to contribute. The San Diego poor and homeless have endorsed Aguirre for Mayor.— September 26, 2013 11:19 a.m.
Tijuana, graveyard of the godforsaken gringos
Very good cover story (Sept. 26) and enjoyable, better than I could do, all of these rare. I appreciate those who can put an entertainment spin on a story, as I am all informing and persuading, save for my humor. Your story is all too-true, as well, unfortunately, but there are other sides to it, albeit not as interesting as the one you have chosen.— September 26, 2013 10:45 a.m.
Toxic sludge set to be dredged from San Diego Bay
Banned for ALL uses in 49 states. Welcome to California, where the MOB runs everything!— September 21, 2013 12:36 p.m.
Chinese hackers gathering info on drone technology
Suicide bombers are cowards, but guys who operate radio-controlled drones from the safety of an underground bunker are brave. I expect someday to see Chinese drones keeping Americans out of their big ally, Mexico.— September 21, 2013 12:33 p.m.
Labor Council to support David Alvarez for Mayor
I am about to editorialize against Alvarez in the San Diego Homeless News. Mike Aguirre, or (ugh!) too-conservative Marti Emerald.— September 20, 2013 10:53 p.m.
Little interest in Occupy's second anniversary
One of the few groups who has seen what is going on in the loss of our Freedoms and Nation, and proposed to oppose it.— September 20, 2013 10:49 p.m.
