The Cat That Filled the Hole in Our Hearts
Awe, that's sweet, LPR. I love animals. They're really like family and I think they bring people closer. Thanks, RFG! Nice to see you back. Surf, I am very glad to hear that Teddy is doing better. They really are big sweethearts, you know?— February 7, 2011 6:40 a.m.
Stupid Chick's Lucky
TheJeep - three bucks at a yard sale or Goodwill. I still buy replacement carafes for my coffee pot at Goodwill. You would be shocked at the mundane, life-saving things folks donate. Here's a thought - work harder. The finer things in life don't just present themselves. There is an old saying - "Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work." Thomas Edison said this. He eschewed bitterness.— February 6, 2011 6:12 p.m.

How is Teddy doing?— February 6, 2011 4:17 p.m.
Stupid Chick's Lucky
I wasn't going to drop into this hornet's nest, but these comments are REALLY mean-spirited. I get the feeling that if this piece had been written by a guy, and not a self-professed diva (it's Diary of Diva, not Diary of a Diaper-bag), people would be much more supportive. I smell schadenfreude. No one likes a success story.— February 6, 2011 1:16 p.m.
The Cat That Filled the Hole in Our Hearts
Awww, Founder, that was so awesome! Thanks for that. We can learn a lot from animals. Anyone who says animals do not feel emotions are clueless jerks.— February 6, 2011 12:47 p.m.
Employment Data Have Economists Scratching Heads
I'm pretty sure he was forced to resign. I did read this, though - "The bathroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport in which the incident occurred has gained notoriety."— February 6, 2011 12:39 p.m.
Employment Data Have Economists Scratching Heads
Great point, Ponzi. Not to mention the hypocrisy. Larry Craig, anyone?— February 6, 2011 9:39 a.m.
Dueling Ideologies in Pacific Beach
I somehow missed this story, so first off let me say LOVED IT!! I used to live in PB for many years, and like Bohemianopus and her now cooled love affair with OB, I had to high-tail it out of there when I found myself yelling at the neighbor girls to keep it down because I had to work in the morning. But I miss it sometimes, now that I am in soccor-mom Point Loma proper. Congratulations on your win. I hope you continue to contribute regularly!!— February 5, 2011 12:25 p.m.
Shell Game
Woot, woot!! Nice work, gringo. Going to get my passport photo taken today.— February 5, 2011 9:51 a.m.
The Cat That Filled the Hole in Our Hearts
Thank you both for those amazing photos!! Now I am all choked up...:'') I cannot believe that anyone would hurt that beautiful dog, Duhbya, but I so glad she found you. And Surf, I am so glad Teddy is getting better. He is absolutely lovely. Your dogs...what can I say? That picture of them all lying together...:)— February 3, 2011 6:21 p.m.
