MTS Officer Saves My Day
It makes you wonder where everyone is going in such a hurry, huh? This struck a cord with me.. "I also found that the cars turning right on red, rarely look to see if there are any people in the crosswalk. I have had a few encounters with the right turn drivers." As a bike rider, I have found that most folks rarely look left either. If they are turning and crossing the street, they look to the right to see if anyone is coming and then pull out. They then make a cursory glance to the left while they are in motion. I would love to hear more about your encounters with cluelessness regarding pedestrians/motorists. This city is awful when it comes to being aware.— June 6, 2010 7:12 p.m.

Relieved that it's a coupe and not a four door ;) And agreed that the suicide door Continental was THE BOMB.— June 6, 2010 6:21 p.m.

great blogs to read
Dr. Peanut is most grateful for the shout-out, but asked that we not forget this nugget of brilliance: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/come-rattle… and its equally brilliant predecessor: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/come-rattle… Just going back and reading them I am LMAO!! And using texting shorthand!! Oh, nan, you bring out the wild child in me!! I am texting William as we speak - IWYTBMLS.— June 6, 2010 3:37 p.m.
Employment Report Suggests Economy Weakening Alarmingly
Richard Russell, writer of the Dow Theory Letter said today that the stock market is in the toilet, not likely to recover anytime soon and to get out of stocks NOW. And he is not one to run scared.— June 4, 2010 1:28 p.m.
Farmer Seth
"Combs will be moving to his mother’s farm in Maryland in order to actualize his dream of becoming a farmer." File under SD on the QT!!! I am so freakin' gullible....— June 3, 2010 8:01 a.m.
Farmer Seth
Seth should call Jim Denevan, who just happened to be in today's paper in the supplement "Relish". Not only could he have him visit his family farm, he could then have a dinner at the farm and write about it. outstandinginthefield.com Or he could join their band of merry motoring and write about it.— June 2, 2010 7:04 p.m.
The Restoration of Faith or Something Like It
Just when I think I have you all figured out, someone like a2z comes along and suprises me. I suppose my purpose now is to try to be a decent person and hopefully by extension have some sort of positive effect on someone else. I am not always successful.— June 2, 2010 8:15 a.m.
Flags On Graves Always Make Me Cry
Yep, he is a pretty cool, for an old guy ;) The Reader is lucky to have him. I've actually been reading Don for years, being a long time subscriber to the UT and a Reader reader forever, but I have little to add to his blog, because local politics aren't my bag either. But I learn what I do know from reading his blog....you provide a little ying to his yang :)— June 1, 2010 12:37 p.m.
