Army sergeant comes back to San Diego from Afghanistan
Grasca, I don't usually get involved in these sorts of comment battles, but the purpose of The Reader allowing readers to comment is for them to express themselves. To curtail or "steer" the comments toward something that you may find more palatable is a form of silencing an audience, and is not the reason many come here. I understand that this line of discord makes some uncomfortable, but it makes for damn entertaining reading, and I for one will never condone censuring the conversation to fit my own agenda.— June 17, 2010 11:09 a.m.
Love, The Art of Apology, and The Grace of Acceptance.
"It's just that daily negotiations can be easy in some relationships and so damned hard in others." SD, that is so true. Day to day life with my husband is relatively easy. But in the past with someone I was not so compatable with, every day was like warfare. Which I think is msjlee's point in comment 6. It's not really fun to fight with someone you really like and respect. Most of the time there is really not much to fight about! Regarding extremely hot avatar, it has already caught Tiki's attention...— June 16, 2010 6:37 p.m.

This is sweet. We all get on each other's nerves, but respect goes a long way. So does an apology.— June 16, 2010 5:41 p.m.
Here Are More OC Register Alums in U-T Management
The physical condition of the Union Tribune is a disgrace. Today my paper had different grade paper in the same section, the front page section has a page that is cut-off by about two inches and the layout is haphazard on all pages, with there being no top margins on certain pages. This has been a regular occurrence over the last couple of months. One day the comics page was cut off, deleting the captions for the single panel comics. Do they just not even care anymore?— June 16, 2010 3:29 p.m.

While not in the official employ of the Bureau, she is frequently called upon to assist in the indentification of the psychological patterns of some of their more vexing criminals.— June 16, 2010 2:52 p.m.

Quilly, have you been kidnapped or something? Is this some sort of ransom note? If someone posts a picture of an ear next, I am calling the FBI.— June 16, 2010 2:28 p.m.

a2z, if there were any justice in the world, the answer would be no. NIPPLES, NIPPLES, NIPPLES!! Now where is my check? CF, you have to go, too! This is not a one woman show!— June 16, 2010 2:03 p.m.

Be free, nekked riders, go forward and spread your good karma to the far reaches of the universe, free from the tyranny of the Man!! We have your, umm, back!!— June 16, 2010 1:06 p.m.

Word, Refried!! Just waiting for a nekked bike rider to show their goodies so they can beat them to a pulp. Hmmm.— June 15, 2010 10:54 p.m.
All Shook Up
AuntSD, I would take my cats and my husband and that's it!! And my cats would not be so hard to gather up, because they are getting used to these quakes. I was worried about them, so I checked on them after last night's tremblor, and they were laying on the bed. They may have to rescue me if we have "the big one".— June 15, 2010 10:01 a.m.
