Permit an insolvent city to subsidize a Charger stadium?

No Beer for u Kitty
There would be no way those poochies would be getting a beer in this house. Well, maybe one to share.— August 17, 2010 9:40 a.m.
New Aviation Rules
Thank you for that, anti!! As I wipe away tears of laughter, I raise a fist to all the crappy, bitchy bosses of the world, narrow my eyes and hiss "it's Slater time".— August 17, 2010 7:54 a.m.
The Poetess Behind The Veil/edited 8/18/2010
I'm sorry, anti. I don't mean to gloat, but I was thrilled to receive an honorable mention.— August 17, 2010 7:46 a.m.
Lean Toward the Shadows
There it is. I read this too and thought I was nuts because it was gone.— August 17, 2010 7:43 a.m.
Appetite for Construction
Refried's right. We used to go all the time, and I would say since 9/11 we have crossed the border via car maybe 5 times. The reported violence is not what keeps us away. It is the waits. Brutal. On a related note, Refried, can you tell me if Mexico still does the half-price specials in January? I went to Las Rocas in 2005 and it was amazing. Everything, including our hotel room, was half off.— August 16, 2010 12:26 p.m.
The Poetess Behind The Veil/edited 8/18/2010
I certainly think this poem is more than worthwhile. Anyone with an eye for beauty appreciates your contributions.— August 16, 2010 12:09 p.m.
Flicker of Recognition
Hi, CourtneyBeth! When I first moved to San Diego in 1987, I wound up in Normal Heights. I found a huge apartment on 34th Street for $450.00 a month. Six months later, I moved to the beach, but I missed the funky eclectic vibe of Adams Ave. It took me about two years before I really settled in to San Diego. Come for the beach, stay for the burritos!! Welcome. FYI: Beyond the Big Metal Fence is a really good blog to add to your list.— August 15, 2010 2:13 p.m.
