Is Proposition C Just a Green Light for Developers?
:) Corky, anyone? Nice observations on the count BTW refried.— October 25, 2010 7:31 p.m.
Engineering
Don't look, refried, or I can guarantee YOU will be trying to fit that square bathtub into a round space. Save yourself :) This was a very funny tale. I hope we get part two.— October 25, 2010 11:59 a.m.
Remembering Mr. C.
It was a cool series, SP. I made a habit of walking by the set when they filmed on our street - it was about four blocks down from me, the location being a house that a local realtor and her family live in. Very idyllic, Cape Cod-esque, American flag, the whole nine yards. Perfect house for the show. I happened to glance into a trailer that was open and saw a surly, pouting blonde woman furiously smoking a cigarette. It was only later that I realized it was KRISTEN BELL!— October 23, 2010 7:09 p.m.
Competition in Del Mar
That's terrific, Nichole!! I was just sharing a story with someone of how years ago I entered a beer I had brewed in the Del Mar Fair homebrew contest. It was when homebrewing was all the rage - the mid-nineties. I decided I would try my hand at it, so I made a wheat beer. Everyone who tried it said I should enter it in the contest - a bunch of my guy friends were doing it, too, so I thought, eh, what the heck. I won second place overall out of over 50 entries, and third in the speciality beer (wheat) contest!! My guy friends were a little ticked-off, though :) Sometimes we surprise ourselves. Thanks for sharing this great story.— October 23, 2010 2:44 p.m.
Remembering Mr. C.
Yes, nan, from what I've been told, many women wanted to "get a piece of the Rock"!!— October 23, 2010 2:32 p.m.
Remembering Mr. C.
They shoot a lot of stuff over here in Ocean Beach/Point Loma, too. The series "Veronica Mars" was shot on our street. Mindy, I had to laugh when I read about stars rendering us speechless. I had the opposite problem when I saw Neil Patrick Harris up close. I practically screamed in his face!!— October 23, 2010 10:55 a.m.
The Unbearable Lightness of Bee-ing
Wow, Founder, thanks!! That's a lot of information. I really appreciate it. It is very tempting. Like Refried, I like the feel of a book. But the convenience and all these cool links......I may just have to cave.— October 23, 2010 10:45 a.m.
September SD Unemployment Stays at 10.6%
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe we need the moon intact and without invasion in order to keep our tides operating. We do not need factories. This creates the "class" system that is destroying us. We are most definitely on par with the Roman Empire at this stage in the game. Go out this weekend and view "Inside Job". It is playing at the Landmark in Hillcrest.— October 22, 2010 7:47 p.m.
The Unbearable Lightness of Bee-ing
I'm ordering it as we speak. Refried and nan, do either of you own a Kindle or similar device? I am on the fence but I read so much - would it be sacrilege for me to go new age?— October 22, 2010 7:33 p.m.
A Chat About Lemon Grove Kid Dennis Hopper
Billy Fox and David Wells also both went to Point Loma High.— October 22, 2010 5:57 p.m.
