Horse Sleep, Flatulent Vapor, Prison Life for Disabled
There is a book, which I have, called "Who Cut the Cheese - A Cultural History of the Fart" by Jim Dawson that sheds some fascinating light on the history of the fart. Its jacket cover tells us that "Farts have featured prominently in the writings of our greatest literary giants, from Aristophanes to Shakespeare, Chaucer to Swift, and Blake to Balzac". A great read that I highly recommend to my Reader friends who take their farting seriously. As an aside, I must also make note that studies have proven that couples who break the "fart barrier" early in the relationship have a much greater chance of staying together.— November 4, 2010 11:23 a.m.

CAN U SCARE ME READER BLOGGERS???
So, I lived in this little house in Gilroy when I was about 18. I shared the space with my older sister and her friend, Deb. The frontage of the house had an eerily resemblance to the house in the movie "Amityville Horror". Everytime I turned around in that place, I was hearing my name called, or an appliance would go on without any human intervention. I constantly heard whispers of my name and would turn around to find no one. It freaked the CRAP out of me and I realized that there is no such thing as not belieiving in ghosts!! Love you, too, nanster!! Happy goblin day!!— October 31, 2010 4:45 p.m.

The San Diego Rescue Mission Opens Its Doors to Just a Few Homeless Women Each Evening
A2Z, that was really interesting information. I had no idea about sailors and the white fan!! Point Loma had its fair share of clubs as well - what is now La Scala was formerly known as "The Boobie Trap". My husband's family has a business that is now run by the third generation for over 25 years. Second generation business's are almost unheard of, third is a rarity in a class by itself. They have extremely strong ties to San Diego, and while none of us are homeless, it is comforting to know we always have some place to call home.— October 31, 2010 12:21 p.m.
